This Outpost and campground is located on 300 acres of private property surrounded by park and public land. It has been here for over 30 years in some form or another. We are Caleb & Amber who enjoyed managing this little oasis in the middle of the desert from March to June of 2017 when we decided to purchase the business & make it our own. This is a dry, rugged campground with a bathhouse that provides coin operated showers and flush toilets. In addition there is little old rustic camp store placed in the middle of nowhere where we provide fuel, snacks, firewood, ice, showers, cold drinks & more.
If you are looking for a more private site with lots of space and shade, book our Small Group at the Rocks. For a warmer stay during the cooler months book one of our Glamping Tents listed. We have the larger, and spacious tent in the grove of the Juniper Trees (which is also amazing in the warmer season) and rent a heater from us inside the general/camp store.
BE SURE TO GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK IN NO LATER THAN 5PM. THANK YOU!! DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF THE DIRECTIONS HERE, YOU WILL LOSE SERVICE ON YOUR WAY.
My husband and I had such an amazing time at Amber’s campsite! She was so accommodating and friendly and made our stay so special. Her land has such gorgeous views and is the perfect place for anyone come and unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just be out in nature. Would highly recommend!
Great spot and Amber was super accommodating and friendly. We had an awesome time in the park as well as exploring the outpost property. I’ll definitely be back!
I spent one night here in one of the tipis and it was an amazing experience! Following host’s written directions to get there worked perfectly. I did visit in the early winter so keeping in mind that the tipis are open top, I was glad to have brought my sleeping bag and extra blankets.
The camp is roomy and easily walkable, and the shower house was clean with hot water that was a godsend after hiking in the National park all day. Perhaps the best part of all was the sunrise view. The surrounding rocks are great sound deadeners and no noise from the road or even the other campsites made it to my site.
Amber is a wonderful host; I ran dry of propane for my stove and not only did she have spare canisters and ice on sale, but some of her own crafts and others from local artists.
Hope to visit again soon!
This was a great find! I really enjoyed the location and property. The campground was super quiet and clean. The views were unbeatable. We had a really great time and can’t wait to come back in the future.
Fantastic, chill camp spot right up against huge red rocks. The site was primitive but just what we were looking for and the host was so friendly and gracious. The little store has all the basics and the showers were HOT. Perfect staging ground for our canyonlands adventuring!
Easy to find, nice store with many unexpected treats and peaceful place!
