This Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent (or rent one of ours) on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Green River. You will be surrounded by the unique landscape of North Eastern Utah. The river is constantly changing so the exact location of the campsite is adjusted accordingly to provide the best experience for our guests. You will have a private campsite with BBQ pit or fire ring, fire starter kit, and wood. There is access to a common area for latrine, dressing area, gravity fed solar shower, and eco-friendly toiletries. The river is full of fun and relaxation. There are life vests, kid and adult kayaks, sand toys, and more available for rent. The campsite is on the fringe of a large hay farm so you may spot farming in action. Expect a 15-20 minute drive to downtown with many food, entertainment, and amenities offered. There is a diversity of wildlife to be seen on site. It is a bird watchers paradise, don't be surprised if you spot a bald eagle, Canadian geese, peregrine falcon, cranes, meadow lark, red-wing black bird, and more! Depending on the time of year you may see deer, antelope, racoon, beaver, or the occasional skunk or coyote. The road where you will park is about 10 feet from the river. There is a slope from the road down to the river. The closest beach area to pitch the tent varies from maybe 10-75 feet from the road.

Site 1 - Beach escape on the Green River
This camp site is absolutely a hidden gem! The beach is incredible. I grew up on siesta key in Florida (one of the best beaches in the world). This beach on the green river has sand about as soft, there is a lot of mud in certain places (kids LOVE it) and the river is like a big lazy river! It was so fun! Highly recommend this spot. A couple pro tips: rent the pop up gazebo they offer and if going in the summer bring a battery operated fan! We forgot a fan and it was a bit hot. You can always go in the river to cool off though. It’s about 25 minutes from Dinosaur National Monument and that was super fun too!

Rebecca's campsite was wonderful! Right on the water and not another person in sight. We found it very fun and peaceful. And it's only a 15-20 minute drive into Vernal. We used it as a base for rafting the green river and visiting Dinosaur Monument.

The river was great to hang out by but the camping area was a tight space along a dirt road. We had to keep the road clear so that traffic could go past. We had a dirt road on one side and a weeded area on the other side with the quickly approaching slope down to the river. There is no parking you're just parallel parked in a narrow area next to the dirt road. The toilet was a hole in the ground with a raised toilet seat with four legs above it. There were bags below to catch "stuff". The tent hut around it was dirty and did not smell good. There was not a shower as mentioned in the description.

We loved this campsite! This was probably one of my favorite campsites of all time. Absolutely beautiful and the beach is perfect. So fun to wade through the river to the island and swim/float down the river. Bring some floaties/tubes and a fly swatter for your tent. The flies were a little pesky but at least there was no mosquitos! Rebecca was very responsive to answering questions. My only wish was that the pit toilet "aka bucket" would have been changed out at some point during our weekend because it got pretty full/gross. We paid an extra $120 for extra people so just thinking that should cover a change. (Something I would request next time.) Otherwise, a beautiful and fun site just like the photos show.

Paradise
Amazing spot and peaceful. I went in the summer and it’s hot, but bring something to shade yourself and your companions and you’ll be fine with the cool river.

Green River escape
What a stunning stretch of the Green Rebecca and her family are sharing on Hipcamp. The beach is wide and open and the river is sandy-bottomed, clean, and deep in areas, perfect for a refreshing bath in the morning, a cooling swim in the afternoon heat, and a post-cocktail dip at sunset in the sparkling golden ripples. Yes, sometimes you hear cars on the highway in the distance, but the campsite itself is very secluded and private--I could also hear birds and crickets and coyotes, and of course the steady flow of the Green, in my mind the most beautiful river in the country.
