Site 1 - Beach escape on the Green River
Awesome Site on the River!
This primitive riverside campsite offers a peaceful and scenic escape, perfect for a low-key family adventure. There’s a small embankment to climb down to access the sandy beach, so prepare to carry your gear. The site is clean, though the toilet was a bag-lined bucket that got quite smelly and the pop-up toilet became filled with flies. It needed to be changed a couple of times (4 people used it) during our stay, and I'd recommend bringing a few trash bags with a scoop of kitty litter in them to help. A handwashing station would be a welcome addition, however we used the solar shower provided by the hosts to wash our hands. The sun was high and bright, I'd recommend bringing something for shade if camping in August! There were some flies, but thankfully they didn’t bite. The river current was mild, making it great for kayaking with kids, and the provided kayaks worked wonderfully. Our dog had plenty of room to roam and had a blast digging in the super soft sand. Nights were windy, but the star-filled sky was absolutely stunning. The fire ring added a cozy touch for campfires, and the solar shower was useful for rinsing off. The hosts were busy working the land in the area and drove by frequently so we always had the option of flagging them down if we needed something. Overall, a charming tent camping spot!!

Perfect Beach Camping
Outstanding camping spot! We had a giant river beach to ourselves over Labor Day weekend. Great place to play in the water, have a campfire, and let the kids/dog loose without dealing with a crowded campground. Rebecca was a great host and was readily available to help us out with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful campsite, on very clean and soft beach. Close to the river which felt clean as well, lots to explore, you can walk up river and then let yourself float down. Plenty of space for parking but it is a bit of a walk from the parking spot to the campsite. Nevertheless, a beautiful secluded campsite, close to town and easily accessible.

This camp site is absolutely a hidden gem! The beach is incredible. I grew up on siesta key in Florida (one of the best beaches in the world). This beach on the green river has sand about as soft, there is a lot of mud in certain places (kids LOVE it) and the river is like a big lazy river! It was so fun! Highly recommend this spot. A couple pro tips: rent the pop up gazebo they offer and if going in the summer bring a battery operated fan! We forgot a fan and it was a bit hot. You can always go in the river to cool off though. It’s about 25 minutes from Dinosaur National Monument and that was super fun too!

Rebecca's campsite was wonderful! Right on the water and not another person in sight. We found it very fun and peaceful. And it's only a 15-20 minute drive into Vernal. We used it as a base for rafting the green river and visiting Dinosaur Monument.

The river was great to hang out by but the camping area was a tight space along a dirt road. We had to keep the road clear so that traffic could go past. We had a dirt road on one side and a weeded area on the other side with the quickly approaching slope down to the river. There is no parking you're just parallel parked in a narrow area next to the dirt road. The toilet was a hole in the ground with a raised toilet seat with four legs above it. There were bags below to catch "stuff". The tent hut around it was dirty and did not smell good. There was not a shower as mentioned in the description.
