We provide water and electricity (two 50 amp and two 20 amp connections for your RV), and septic connection. Drive in and park under our tall, protected carport and back up upon leaving. BBQ on the deck and watch the stars at night.
Enjoy nearby town of Bandera, Hill Country Natural Area and Lost Maples State Park.
Susie and I own the cabin next door, which we host on Airbnb. There may be guests at the cabin. Your site is entirely private. We do not live on site. We are prepared to assist if needed if you contact us by phone or the HipCamp app.
We are in the process of building a Tiny House on the site. We plan to rent the site to one guest at a time to offer the most privacy and best experience possible.
The Medina River borders the property. You will need to climb stairs to reach the river, where you can wade in the shallow, clean waters. You can birdwatch or my favorite activity, sit on a rock and watch the river flow. The sunsets on the river are remarkable.
The site is located ten miles from the town of Bandera, where there are restaurants and stores in the old frontier style. The city park is lined by centuries old cypress and is a fun stop. Bandera Natural Area is a good place for hiking.
The best time of year to visit is the spring, early summer, all during the fall.
Hipcampers will love the privacy, natural setting and the river. There is the gentle sound of the current as it flows past, the sound of birds (cardinals, jays, herons and hawks, among others).
Amenities include our covered deck, covered parking for your RV, fossil hunting on the river and north facing views of the night sky.Enjoy the tranquility our RV site on the banks of the Medina River.
