Paisano Azul Ranch is on 30 acres located by Terlingua Creek. The property is just minutes from the Terlingua Ghost Town and a short 3 mile drive to the Big Bend National park. Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you to toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails. There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta-Potties on-site, as well as showers for guests to use. These come in handy after a long day hiking. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do. We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe camp; kayak, off-road, swim, go horseback riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. DIRECTIONS: Once you are on Road Runner Circle, go past the house on the left with the Christmas lights on. Please continue down the road and follow the road around the curve to the left. The campsites will be on the left and side behind the rock walls. The campsite number that is booked is the campsite you will stay in. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! Covered with a shade sail the water stays nice and chilly. ($10 fee/person) - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available on our property. Feel free to unplug during your stay though. - Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private. - Potable water is provided on-site. We have an artisan well on property that has been certified as drinkable. It is double filtered to give you the best drinking water. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we look forward to your stay.

Site 2 - Tucked Away
Great space, sites have great amenities (sun shade, fire pit, sturdy picnic table), everything was as promised. There was some confusion about whether sites were assigned or first-come-first-served, but we worked it out.

Site 8- Off by it self
Paisano Azul is our Big Bend Go To!
Lots of improvements at Paisano Azul. Nice wind breaks have been added as well as grills. Jason always goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. New policy that you have to stay at the site you booked caused a little confusion, because it’s always been first come first served on site selection. But site 8 was a nice place. We settled in quickly and thoroughly enjoyed our stay under the stars.

Site 1- Peninsula
The best Camping Place in Terlingua
Spectacular views. We stayed in site #1 for 6 nights. This site feels like you are in an island in the middle of the desert. This place is only about 5 minutes drive to the grocery in town which is open every day until 9am. The hot&cold shower is so good. There are a lot of flushable porta potties, and a huge trash bin. Our kids enjoyed petting the goats, making s'mores. We grilled almost every night and used the firepit. We were able to use our generator at night. Our stay at Paisano Azul was fantastic!!! We highly recommend to adventurers like us.

Site 7 - Good Views
Great spot. Site 7 was perfect for me and my family. The toilet (which flushes, yay!) was right next to our campsite and we had the hill behind us which helped block out some of the wind at night. The campsites are spread out enough that you barely hear the other guests. Stars at night were incredible, the town, gas station and grocery were all a short drive away. Big Bend sights were around 40 min-1 hr away. I would definitely stay here again for my next BBNP visit. The goats and doggies by the showers were cute friends to say hi to. This is the desert so you will be dusty so make sure you drive slow enough on the road to respect other campers!

Site 5 - Creek Views
Its an easy 10 min drive to get to Big Bend National Park from the camp site. We have stayed on Jason's land before and it was great even then. This time around it was even better with all the improvements he's done. The place is not hard to get to, the directions are clear and the amenities are sufficient enough for what we needed. Showers have hot water and bathrooms are always clean. We will definitely be returning again, & would absolutely recommend The Paisano Azul Ranch to others.

"El Groupo"
Great location! Far enough out of town that we had a good amount of privacy, but close enough that we could quickly grab supplies or hit the main road. Very comfortable and plentiful spots for tents, a great firepit, and good quality tables. Ample parking for four vehicles (could've had a fifth). The flushing toilet was a port-a-potty, which worked just fine but be aware that's the setup. The showers were a bit of a walk as well. Also they don't have as much privacy as one would hope. Overall a 4/5 spot that I have already recommended to others.
