Cannon Mountain Ski Resort is known for its challenging terrain and stunning views, including sights of Mount Washington from the summit. The resort boasts a vertical drop of 2,180 feet and receives an average of 160 inches of snowfall per season, supplemented with snowmaking. The skiing season typically runs from late November to early April. The terrain is varied, with trails for all skill levels, but it is particularly renowned for its expert trails. There are no terrain parks, but the Tuckerbrook Family Area is beginner-friendly. While there are no designated backcountry areas within the resort, adventurous skiers sometimes explore the surrounding backcountry. Cross-country trails are available at the nearby Franconia Inn. Night skiing is not offered at Cannon Mountain. The lift system includes a 70-passenger aerial tramway and several chairlifts. Cannon Mountain is considered family-friendly, with ski school and childcare services. Other winter activities include ice skating and snowshoeing, with trails available in the state park. There are no snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding areas at the resort itself.
