Aspen Highlands Ski Resort is renowned for its challenging terrain and stunning views, particularly from the famous Highland Bowl. The resort boasts a significant amount of snowfall, contributing to excellent skiing conditions throughout the season, which typically runs from December to April. While the terrain is skewed towards more advanced and expert skiers with its steep slopes and glades, there are still some trails suitable for intermediate skiers. However, it is not particularly known for beginner-friendly areas. Aspen Highlands does not have a terrain park, but it offers extensive backcountry skiing opportunities, especially in the Highland Bowl. There are no cross country trails, night skiing, or terrain parks directly at Aspen Highlands. The lift system is efficient, helping skiers access the varied terrain. The views from the resort are spectacular, with panoramas of the Maroon Bells and other Elk Mountains peaks. While it may not be the most family-oriented resort in the Aspen area, families can still enjoy the skiing experience. Other activities at Aspen Highlands are limited, but nearby in the Aspen/Snowmass area, visitors can find ice skating, snowshoeing, snow tubing, snowmobiling, and sledding activities.
