This site is really lovely. Eric and his wife are most gracious hosts. We had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend.

Site is Great, But Hosts Are Better
Eric and Vicki are super hosts - incredibly attentive and accommodating. They really go above and beyond to make Ranger’s Retreat distinctive. There are more sites being developed, so it’s more wide open than some of the photos, but that was good for games and better viewing for wildlife and a star-filled night sky. Excellent base location for area trails and access to Laurel Hill State Park.

Ranger's Retreat
Site is absolutely beautiful! There's tons of space, and a few trails on the property to explore. I went with my two pups and we had a blast! If you're directionally challenged like myself definitely take them up on getting local directions, I ended up down the street at a gas station lost. There's space at the top of the hill with a very clear view of the sky, which is great if you want to get to a camp site at night. If you've got time I would check out the secluded site down further in three forest, it's just about the most serene place I've been to. Hosts are incredible! I mentioned in passing that I was going to be looking for coffee in the morning and asking about local places and they made me a coffee kit. They also gave me a fire bundle, and made sure I was aware if I needed anything just to let them know. Overall the stay was incredible, and any time I'm in the area I'll be booking a stay.

Ranger's Retreat
Beautiful private campsites! Land is still being developed so not much to it but a couple nicely cleared areas to set up. Watched the sunset into the trees and made a fire. Site was great for me and my dog.

Ranger's Retreat
Kind hosts, beautiful land!!
I had such a wonderful and peaceful time at Rangers retreat. There's so much land to explore and lots of birds and mushrooms to try and identify! You'll never run out of a place to string up you hammock and there was plenty of space to park my camper van. The hosts Eric and Vicki are the absolute sweetest human beings and I'm already ready to head back.

I very much enjoyed the stay...appreciated Eric's assistance with directions and courtesy with minimizing exterior lighting. The night sky was spectacular. The nearby hiking was so good, we stayed another night to fully enjoy the day. It was pure gravy to play a little guitar with Eric before my departure. All the best with completion of the full site. It will be beautiful.
