You won't believe you are still in Kansas! C2T Ranch is a working regenerative cattle ranch, with over 4 miles of Saline River running through it. Amazing 150' tall limestone cliffs rise above river and several spring fed creeks feed into the river. There is hiking galore in the canyons or on the cliffs, fishing in the rivers, or bird watching on the native prairie above the cliffs. Fossil hunters can find a variety of fossilized shells, as well as native septarian and calcite for the rockhounds.
Our picturesque, secluded campground has primitive and powered campsites, plus several glamping tent, all dispersed along an amazing horseshoe bend of the Saline River, each with direct river access. We're only a 20 minute drive north of Hays, Kansas and I-70, come visit us today!

Our stable provides beautiful views of the Kansas landscape, prairie and rock bluffs surround the farm. The stable is situated on a dead end road with little traffic, close to town so you can still enjoy great eating places in Hays. We are just a few short miles to Fort Hays State University, we are both alumni of FHSU- Go Tigers! We have 6 horse pens for overnight travels- Coggins are required before unloading. We loved our recent stay at C2T Ranch! Chad and Cynthia are fantastic hosts and their warm and friendly hospitality is outstanding! The ranch itself is in a beautiful location and the spacious camping spots are right along the river with great views, big fire rings, picnic tables, and close proximity to a clean porta potty! They even offer delicious bbq meals to purchase- we had the brats and potatoes and it was excellent! Highly recommend this Hipcamp and we absolutely will return!

We saw a cow run right past us on the land, which is beyond beautiful and so joyful to walk around. Our dogs had such a blast running. Great place to stay and be away from it all. We had site #10 Wanda's place for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Water and Electric at the site and tons of room. The Campsites are extremely far apart and we could not see anyone at all from our site. Friendly owner/host Chad & Cynthia. Lots of walking trails, wildlife, great views. We will be back. FYI: T Mobile is almost non existant but with our starlink we had full internet and wifil calling worked great.

Wonderful spot to stay at! We were there just for a quick overnight but were greeted by the friendliest barn cats you could ever ask for! We’re pet people so to have this trio of cuties come up and hang with us was a pleasant treat. The host was fantastic with instructions and made sure we were all set. Weekend Trip to C2T Ranch on the Saline River
I know, we should talk about the views and the hospitality (which were amazing), but I want to say that was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! I was so suprised the bed was so nice! The cinnamon rolls and zucchini bread were perfect! The hosts were kind! The scenery was exactly what we hoped for... the stars were amazing!
We had a nice trail to walk and got to see wonderful fall foliage. It felt safer than sleeping at the lake, which made the trip a lot more relaxing.

This was such a beautiful site! We had 2 sites next to each other and had plenty of space in a picturesque landscape. We were just passing through in a long journey but would absolutely stay here again. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had to drive about 6 miles on unsaved roads but made it just fine with our travel trailer and class C campers.

Overview
About
Once upon a time following the Civil War, freed African Americans settled within the rolling plains of Bogue, Kansas. They founded the settlement of Nicodemus. Although it's not the only Black town founded during this time, it's one of the only ones that remain.
Five buildings make up the historic site including the Township Hall, St. Francis Hotel, Old First Baptist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, and School District Number 1 house. After immersing yourself in the history, enjoy an impromptu picnic at the Roadside Park.
While you can't camp at the historic site, you can camp at Webster State Park, just 15 minutes down the road to the east. It includes 880 acres of prairie, over 8,000 acres in the wildlife area, and 3,700 acres of reservoir. After your visit to Nicodemus, relax with some swimming and fishing at the lake. Visit in the spring when you can enjoy newly blooming wildflowers and avoid the heat of a midwest summer.
Located in northwestern Kansas, the best way to get to Nicodemus is east on I-70 to Highway 24 at Colby or west on I-70 to Highway 24 at Topeka. The highway goes right through the settlement.
