Hey guys! As avid campers and adventure seekers ourselves, we know how important safe (and cost effective) space for a night or two is. That’s why we decided to offer a corner of our own rural paradise - amongst the mature oaks, blooming magnolias and palms. We have just under 7 acres with plenty of yard to share. It’s pretty basic space without a lot of amenities (yet), but we know you’d love it here. Our pricing reflects our humble start and we invite you to park your RV, pop open your tent and make yourself at home. A few things you can expect… ~Wherever you decide to set up camp, we will provide a picnic table, trash can and fire pit with wood. ~We are super pet friendly so bring your furry family members and we will ensure they’re safe and comfortable as well. ~There is access to water from the main house. ~ Electricity can be provided depending on how close you set up to the house. WiFi as well. ~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day. ~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. Super quiet! ~ Pit potty in a super cute Outhouse. ~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs! ~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks. ~ We are on site and available to you when needed. Family Farm Close to Everything!

1 site · RV10 acres · Longwood, FL
Don't stay in the middle of another loud, packed campground. Enjoy the peace and quiet that only comes from staying in a quiet rural setting with absolutely NO other campers onsite. At Koblasz Farms, the value is in the privacy. You get the property to yourself, guaranteed. Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. Koblasz Farms is one of the few farms remaining in Seminole County, and the only breeder of registered Scottish Highland Cattle. These beautiful girls are part of the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They will take your breath away as they mingle in your surrounding pastures. If you are lucky, you may even see one born. Be sure to bring fig newtons, and gain friends for life. Few things in life are cuter than Scottish Highland calves, unless you ask the mini-donkeys or the goats that will do their best to convince you otherwise. And wildlife abounds. You can expect to see deer, wild turkeys, eagles, hawks, cormorants, cranes, turtles, and other wildlife. Let's talk fishing. Our pond has been stocked with large mouth bass, shiners, bluegills, and shellcrackers. Catch and release only. We are conveniently located 40 minutes from Disney, an hour from Daytona Beach, 50 minutes from New Smyrna Beach, and 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. We are also minutes away from parks for hiking, picnicing, kayaking and canoeing on the Little Wekiva River including the Wekiva River State Park, Katie's Landing, and Wekiva Landing.

The best camping near Holopaw State Forest guide

Overview

About

A Holopaw State Forest camping adventure is like finding a hidden gem in the heart of Central Florida. Though small at 58 acres, this forest packs a punch when it comes to natural beauty and outdoor activities. Located off U.S. Route 192 in the unincorporated town of Holopaw, this forest is a secluded getaway from the hustle and bustle. One of the unique features of Holopaw State Forest is its proximity to the Indian Branch of Crabgrass Creek, a tributary that feeds into the Upper Basin of the St. Johns River. This makes it an ideal spot for anglers looking to cast their lines in less crowded waters. The forest itself is a permit-only area, ensuring that it remains a tranquil and undisturbed environment. Permits can be obtained from the Division of Forestry's field office in Orlando, making it an exclusive experience for those who seek it. Though the forest is small, its location offers a gateway to explore the broader Central Florida region. Whether you're interested in fishing, hiking, or simply soaking in the natural surroundings, camping near Holopaw State Forest provides a unique opportunity to enjoy Florida's diverse ecosystems. Plus, its central location means you're never too far from other attractions in Osceola County. In summary, Holopaw State Forest offers an intimate and exclusive outdoor experience. Its permit-only access ensures a peaceful retreat, while its central location serves as a springboard for broader adventures in the region. It's a must-visit spot for campers eager to explore what Central Florida has to offer.

When to go

The ideal time to visit Holopaw State Forest is during the cooler months from November to March, when the Florida heat is at bay, and the trails are most welcoming. Summer months can bring heavy rains and higher temperatures, making outdoor activities less comfortable.

Know before you go

  • Be mindful of the local wildlife; store food securely and maintain a respectful distance.
  • Wear appropriate footwear for hiking and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
  • Remember to pack out all trash and leave the forest as pristine as you found it.
