We had an amazing time at Dan's campsite. Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Weekend Trip to Fish’s Yurt Romantic Luxury Escape

My partner and I felt instantly welcome. The Mongolian yurt was spotless and cozy, with electricity, AC, a full kitchen, a bathroom with a tub, and a thermostat-controlled stove. Tracey and Christopher even had a campfire ready every night, and their two sweet dogs were a delight. We visited over Thanksgiving for fall colours—perfect dark skies for stargazing and gorgeous sunsets at Seagull Lake. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Mitziville By The Lake

I’m truly glad I discovered this place. My friends and I found so much more than we expected. The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends. We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We’ll definitely be back — our group has been looking for a place like this for a long time

Weekend Trip to Mitziville By The Lake

Compared to most campground sites this is a nice private spot. The quiet river makes a beautiful view and I appreciated the free kayak available with the site. Check in was easy and friendly. There is a public area beside the site which meant there are occasionally people near by but it wasn’t a problem. At other times it was very quiet.

Spacious and peaceful campsite! The leaves were just starting to turn red when we visited, which made it extra pretty. Plenty of drinking water, picnic table, and chairs. Dan is an amazing host — super kind and even helped us get our drone back from a pine tree. Highly recommend!

There was more perks then listed in the ad we were grateful for the levelled deck platform for the tent and the provided barbecue , although we didn’t need it ! Was a nice extra ! Lake was within walking distance via the dirt road ! And another just a short distance in a vehicle ! Plenty of firewood !

Cindy’s land was private quaint and so beautiful!! It was nestled in the wilderness away from noise and light pollution, and the sky lit up at night time with millions of beautiful stars!! The host was awesome helping us set up even and letting us know about all the local festivities!! Everything we needed was just a quick drive away for fun or resources like our furnace breaking lol We can’t wait to go back again!!

We loved camping at Mitziville'sland. It was our 2nd time this summer. The camp sites are big enough for 2,3 tents. Our kids love the beach and water activities. ( kayaks, paddle boats included) There is also nice trails for hiking. Shower on site. About 30 min away from Huntsville.. Definitely recommend and we'll be back.

I live on 8.25 acres of level fairly open land. 10 min NE of South River The campground is about 3 acres, with 3 sites Beside a small lake, Wendigo Lake, with a wide creek exiting the lake . Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. We have fire pits, books and board games.
