Thank you for the lovely stay Sherri. The camp was spacious, beautiful, and peaceful. Our dogs had room to roam off leash and we didn't need to worry about them. This gave my husband and I time to unwind and be stress free. We especially enjoyed the sunset and sunrise. They were spectacular at your camp. The only thing we should have changed was that we should have stayed longer!

I came home and have told everyone in length about the most knowledgeable farm tour I have ever been on (although I don’t have many farm tours to compare it to). Either way, I learned so much about chickens and turkeys and birds of all kinds! As a young woman travelling alone, I felt safe and comfortable here, would 100% recommend.

Weekend Trip to Point Grondine Park

We caught PG in its infancy and what a treat. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The sites a huge. The put in at the lake is exceptional, with a fabulous dock and small sandy beach for easy access for canoes and kayaks. The birding was also amazing. The river was fun to paddle, but the many beaver are hard at work, and that's just nature. We look forward to seeing the next stages of development.

Weekend Trip to Rusty's Red Deer Lake Getaway

Cabin was nicely furnished and fit me, my husband, our large dog, and 8 month old son very well. Large mostly flat grassy area was perfect for the dog and the baby. We saw Kevin when we arrived & he was very nice and helpful. After that, we didn’t see a single person for the 3 days we were there. Saying hi to rusty on the way to the lake was cute and made me laugh. Not a very groomed trail, was nice and easy enough but definitely tripping hazards for anyone with any mobility issues. There is also a large step up into the cabin so bring a sturdy stool if you’re coming with youngins or others who may have a hard time with that. Fire pit came with racks was great for cooking and keeping warm late at night. We had a great time in this private off grid cabin, would definitely come back another time !

Matt was very welcoming. I visited the horse, the sheep, the chickens, the geese. While I was there some neighbours were also there. There was a sense of kindness and community that I walked in on and I felt immediately welcome. Matt has several projects on the go and I was allowed to help.

Lovely, very private, quiet tent-camping spot right on the river. Perfect for launching my kayak for some paddling and swimming. Drinking water and outhouse were a bonus and the sauna before bed with a plunge in the river was an added treat. Easy to find and Beth is a wonderful host! Thanks for an enjoyable and relaxing 3 days.

Willow Lane Farm is a Heritage Breed Poultry farm that runs a small rescue/sanctuary for livestock. The Main farm is situated on 60 acres which backs onto crown land. There's open fields, forest, wetlands and paddocks full of all sorts of animals. Towards the back, there's several small ponds and a river that runs through the property. Located in the north east corner of Sudbury, in the town of Hanmer, Ontario. Sudbury is known as the Blueberry Capitol. The small mining town has grown into a good sized city which is situated in a crater. It's prime location is a haven for geologists, blueberry pickers, snowmobilers, and fishermen. With over 50 lakes close by, and lots of ATV/sled trails, it's a great recreational place with lots to do or sit back and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Animals are welcomed. We also have an outhouse on site. 30 lakes are within a half-hour drive, great for fishing! Sudbury is in a crater, so there are lots of interesting rocks to see if geology interests you. We live in a beautiful area nestled in the woods just seconds away from amenities, half a kilometer off Highway 17. It is very private here. We are homesteaders and love our land. We grow our own food, our own herbs and our own chickens. If you're here during the right time, you might see a few chicks running around . In our town we have a small grocery store, a convenience store with gas and we have an LCBO You can park in the driveway with you RV or on the lawn with your tent. You will have access to electricity and water. You can also use the bathroom and shower. You must provide your own extension cord and water hose I do have some here if need be but I am not sure they would be long enough. There is a beautiful Lake just down the street. Another half a kilometer away for you to go. Kayaking, swimming or just sightseeing. There is also a spot for you to climb the mountain. The marina here in town is absolutely beautiful and they have a lookout for you to climb. I believe it's 132 steps. This is the highlight of our little town.
