I loved the cabin and its energy. It is even more beautiful in pictures than in person. The host was very friendly and her dogs and cats were cute and ready to be pet. The landscape looks like a postal card. Strongly recommended!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Riverside Glamping. The hosts, Lisa and James were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The site was exactly as described and all we needed to bring was food and personal items. The site itself was gorgeous and private. The yurt was beautifully done and very comfortable. We will be back for sure!

It's a really great place. The host was also very kind, and the atmosphere of the harmonious family was particularly nice. The glamping site has everything, and the shower and toilets, which were of great concern, were really clean.
The glamping site was full of romance and the host was kind. The disadvantage is that the network doesn't work, but it's slow because there's Wi-Fi, but Internet access is possible. The bathroom is clean and the glamping site I thought was to sleep in a poor environment for a day, but this place was so nice!
+) It's a pity that I couldn't say hello to three pugs in the morning. Django, Theodore, Zeus Bye Bye:)

Michele has a kind heart and her animals are as sweet as pea. Very relaxing. Plenty of wildlife activity to watch on the river (bears, jumping sturgeon, osprey carrying fish). And it’s a short drive into Hope from the cabin.

My friend and I really loved this place. Facing the river view. The set up is reallly cute and cozy and they have everything prepared. Although the day we went was pouring but it was a really relaxing for us…

I loved glamping on Lisa and James’ land! They are wonderful hosts, and I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. The property is beautiful - right by the river with mountain views you can enjoy from your private deck.
The tent was amazing too! It’s set amongst the trees, which provide perfect shade on a hot, sunny day. I had everything I needed to cook, relax, and enjoy myself.

Down a quiet dirt road in the hills above Princeton, Lakeview Ranch offers a little slice of paradise. The site is peaceful, private, and well maintained, offering just what you need, and nothing you don't. The outhouse is clean and closeby, there's a small cooking stand, and a table with four chairs. The property offers endless exploration activities from hiking into the hills, or walking around the beaver pond. Or, wander a bit farther and look for fossils or go for a swim in the Similkameen River just a quick walk or drive away. Or, just relax on the dock and look for the beavers. Beyond the beavers, numerous other wildlife viewing opportunities exist from squirrels running about, to hearing the coyotes howl in the distance at night. Angelique is an amazing host offering great directions to the property and to nearby attractions, as well as thoughtfully including some extras knowing I was visiting on a motorcycle. I highly recommend staying at Hammock Ranch, and would happily do so again.

Great private spot! The beach access was easy to get to! However it was very inconvenient that there was no outhouses to use and we had to bring our own toilets. Also was not given any direction to dispose of our waste when it was full, so had to haul it out. Lastly the outhouse was right outside our site and we kept getting wafts of outhouse smell… was not pleasant.

James and Lisa (and Zeus the dog!) were truly fantastic hosts, giving us a warm welcome into their beautiful and well-equipped campsite area. It was our 4-year-old's first camping experience, and I'd say she had a blast. Being so close to the Chilliwack River and having the chance to enjoy those stunning views is one of the things that make camping at Living Large so great. We would love to go back next summer and would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a wonderful family camping experience!

Daniel and his father are exceptional hosts, ensuring a wonderful stay. The campsite boasts a stunning mountain-ringed location and offers all the essential amenities, including clean wash basins, a versatile water hose, and a spotless shower room. We arrived late, and his dad kindly assisted us with lighting for our tent setup. The site features ample parking, a powered electrical pole with multiple outlets, and a strong sense of security. It's an ideal, family-friendly spot in Osoyoos that I highly recommend and would gladly visit again.

Overview
About
Set in the heart of the Cascades, EC Manning Provincial Park encompasses 83,671 hectares of forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes, as well as a ski resort. Trails range from easy day hikes to multi-day backpacking trails, including a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail. Renowned for alpine wildflowers, the park starts to see blooms in early spring with a peak in late July. A range of summer activities, guided hikes, and events draw campers to over 400 campsites divided between four drive-in, 10 hike-in, one ride-in, and three group campgrounds. Basic services include pit toilets and hand pumps for water. EC Manning Provincial Park is the traditional territory of the Upper Similkameen and the Sto:Lo Nations.
Notable campgrounds
- Best for families: Lightning Lake Campground has showers, flush toilets, and a playground, plus boat rentals and amphitheatre programs.
- Best for wildflowers: Poland Lake Campground is near an eight-kilometre hike through fields of wildflowers to a serene mountain lake.
- Best for groups: The Lone Duck group site offers private space for 15 or more campers, as well as a shelter with picnic tables and a wood stove.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Reservations are available through BC Parks’ Discover Camping website for dates between May 15 and September.
- Lightning Lake Campground is 100% reservable in advance, while Coldspring and Mule Deer campgrounds are about 50% reservable and 50% first-come, first-served. Hampton Campground is 80% reservable.
- Try to secure any weekend or holiday spots as far in advance as possible using the online booking system.
- Backcountry sites require permits purchased in advance.
When to go
EC Manning Provincial Park is open for camping year-round, though only limited drive-in camping is available outside of the summer season (mid-May to October). Much of the park is in the alpine, meaning there can be snow through June. Think about booking a stay between mid-June and late-July for the best wildflowers (though this will also be the busiest time in the park).
Know before you go
- Manning Park runs a wide range of visitor programs including interpretive walks, the Jerry’s Rangers program for kids; evening amphitheatre entertainment, and a guest speakers series.
- Manning Park Resort offers basic shopping and restaurants.
- Campers should be fairly self-sufficient, as the centre of the park is located 68 kilometres east of Hope and 68 kilometres west of Princeton.
- Mobile phone service is intermittent in the park.
- There are some barrier-free toilets and trails at Lightning Lake Campground.
