A great spot near HWY 31 and HWY 97 to stop while traveling. 8 fenced acres welcomes you on a dead end street in our quiet neighborhood. The camp spot is your own private oasis with 4 sun shades and a 32' circle for tent spots. There's private parking, a 12' picnic table and shady hammock space. You'll most likely be greeted by our super friendly German Shepard who is great with other dogs and kids. We're looking forward to meeting you!Great spot for a safe place to rest! Pitch your tent or car camp in our private camp spot located at the front of the property along our dead-end road. (See property map for campsite location in reference to the road/property) A short, driveable path from the main driveway takes you to 4 shade sailes and a 32' tent circle. You can park on the soil surrounding the pea gravel circle and camp in the shade. *PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE TENT CIRCLE* There's a shaded hammock, picnic table, port o potty, and super friendly German Shepard named Light as your welcoming crew 😉. The space is wide open for choice of sun or shade. Mostly high desert (so dusty) vegetation and ponderosa pines.

Great stay for Newberry Caldera!
Private safe space within an easy drive to Newberry Caldera. The host was responsive and instructions were clear. We loved meeting Light and we would happily stay here again.

Solid place to crash for a night...
Pulled in pretty late but nevertheless was greeted firstly by a rather exuberant German Shepard that was off-leash, shortly later the host. The dog is completely harmless but I was worried about her running in front of the truck; proceed slowly IMHO. Campsite is primarily designed for tent campers offering a large ring of pea gravel under shade sails on guy wires strung across some trees that have been topped - read safe, no widow makers to fall on you. There's an area off to the right large enough for a full size truck or a camper van and that's where we camped. There's a porta-potty which was plenty clean enough and a trail that leads to a picnic table. There's a trash and recycling can which makes disposing of waste easy, no need to worry about packing it out. The camp is aptly named, it's a rest stop it doesn't really offer anything more of interest; it's a place to crash for the night no more no less. You'll hear some barking dogs in the distance (not on their property) at night but nothing annoying and in the morning you'll likely hear some roosters crowing; it's your typical farm area stuff and if it bothers you I doubt you do much camping. Didn't note any bad bug issues, usual moths and crane flies, if there were mosquitos it wasn't much. Never interacted with the hosts again after the initial instructions on where to put the truck, just packed up and drove out the gate easy peasy!

Great central location at Molly's place if you are visiting the Mt Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes and also the Crater Lake area with driving times about 1 hour in each direction. Directions to Mollys were spot on. Facilities were clean and the shade sails helped with the heat. Do keep in mind that it is the Oregon outback and it does get dusty and the temperatures can fluctuate over 30C/86f in 8 hours during the summer. Pretty clear stargazing spot with regular howling coyotes in the distance.
