Karens Beware #5 is Raw Hosts Great
Overall had a good experience. Mark is a really nice guy and his land has some great potential for good camping spot with more privacy than mainstream locations. If you’re looking for the perfect place to unwind and get away from everything this particular spot Mark has needs some time. If you’re like me and don’t mind a little more raw campsite then it’s a great shady spot, with some good privacy. Overall though spot #5 is pretty rough and new. There wasn’t really a good sized level spot for my tent. It’s not a small tent so some difficulty finding good spots anywhere is expected. Mark came by to check on new arrivals pretty soon after we started unloading. I mentioned the extra rough ground I wasn’t expecting, and he offered to bring a shovel. That was so helpful and I hope the work on the spot is appreciated. I didn’t get a chance to mention the dry brush near the fire pit. It looks like there was some brush cutting done recently and there was a lot of dry stuff around the fire pit. I kept the shovel to get some of that cleaned up. Unfortunately a spade shovel is not the best tool for that. Mark needs to get in there and clear that back farther. Too many people drink and camp so as it gets hotter it could get dicey. I hope the 2024 season goes well Mark and I hope you continue to build a really nice new camping location.

lower Meadow Site #4
Beautiful Scenery and Quiet Camping
My husband and I absolutely loved camping at Hurleys Hideaway! Not only did we have peace and quiet with a great view but Mark (Hurley) brought us a dozen eggs from his chickens, hickory smoked cheese, and his dog, Augie, kept us great company! There is a beautiful trail with incredible trees and other flora as well. Highly recommend!

Info on the site was clear and accurate. We chose site #1 because it was away from the others, and my husband snores. Near everything we wanted to visit.

There is a giant friendly doggo who hung out with us for a while. 11/10 The site was great, easy to drive in and in great shape

Ok for camper van but not tents
Not ideal for tent pitching as site 3 was very uneven and ground not prepared with tent areas … ok for camper van . Also not ideal if travelling by motorcycle as again no flat and hard ground to park

Happy Camper
Great space! Well maintained lawn area, lots of space…. There was a picnic table, fire pit and porta-potty. And a very friendly farm dog.
