Pleasant Valley Farm was originally a working farm with a two-story farmhouse and traditional bank barn, built in the late 1800s. The massive timbers and joinery are constant reminders of the meticulous craftsmanship of the era. Jim and Kathy Grogg purchased Pleasant Valley Farm in 1994 and not only updated the house and barn, but also expanded the lake to its current 13 acres. The large 144-year-old, 2736-square-foot barn is now available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, birthdays, and reunions.

#8 Pine tree

Second time staying here! I have camped at quite a few Hipcamps and Jim’s farm at site #8 is my favorite! This site is close to the bathroom, has string lights you can plug in for lighting and a quick walk over to the lake.

#2 Creek Side

Spot #2 was great!

Nice flat grassy area. The creek was dry so no mosquito bites during our stay. Always plenty of paper products and hand soap in the bathroom - which was clean and well maintained. We went to sleep as the geese landed in the pond, and we enjoyed our coffee as they left in the morning. Just a comment - There were other campers on the weekend, and they had dogs off-leash (unattended); they wandered over to our site when I was cooking. Not a big deal but we didn't appreciate it.

#5 Wood side

This place is so beautiful! Woodside #5 was absolutely perfect for our group of 6. We fit 4 tents and 3 cars, but this site is huge and could accommodate more. This definitely feels like the most private site, there were a few other campers nearby but we could see or hear anyone from our camp. It's also a short walk to the barn and lake. The host was super friendly and welcoming, and having a bathroom was a huge plus. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and we loved hanging out on the dock and swimming! we look forward to coming back :)

#4 Tree park

We loved our campsite on James property! It felt private even with other campsites near by. Close walk to the running toilet. Trees for hammocks and shade, and a beautiful sunrise view over a field. We enjoyed fishing on the pond, friendly conversation with James, and he was available and willing to help us in a pinch with a dead car battery on our way out! Extremely grateful for the experience overall! We will absolutely be back :)

#7 Spill way

Had a great weekend at Pleasant Valley Farm! The property is quite beautiful, with all sites basically very close to a 13 acre lake. James and Cathy were super sweet and we had some nice chats with other hipcampers who were there. The sites are a bit closer together than expected but we felt we still had a lot of privacy. Bathrooms were very clean and the outdoor shower was a nice to have. Will definitely be back!

#11 Overlook

Awesome Spot! I’ll be back!

Such a cool property! I arrived early enough to walk around and see all the campsites all of them are very nice. The bathrooms are clean with modern fixtures and they’re in an awesome barn. The #11 site is in a nice location with plenty of room for larger groups.
