We’ll try to overlook the opportunity to make a bad pun here, but let it be said that Homme Dam Campground is a remarkably pleasant home base when visiting the recreation area that it’s named for.
The campground is well maintained, with new showers and squeaky-clean bathrooms, even the man-made Homme Lake is relatively new (it was rebuilt in 2004). For an added bonus, camp here in the Fall, the campground comes alive with glorious swaths of red and gold foliage. It makes for some “dam” good photos (sorry, we couldn’t resist!).
