Mountain Bliss
I loved camping at campsite 3, although, the other campsites were equally as beautiful. You are definitely immersed in the woods. My campsite was the only occupied site of the weekend. The proximity of the other sites would make this a great place to do a group outing. Upon arrival, the road to get toward the campsites looked a little bit rugged, but my Kia soul had no issues getting where I needed to. There is a short walk to get to the campsites from the parking are. I would say you have to walk about 300+ meters to get down to the sites. It’s important to have things that are easy to carry in. The fire pits and pads were fantastic.
The only negative I had was that the listing stated there would be chairs at the campsite, but upon arrival, there weren’t any. I walked and scoped out the other sites, and between the 4 sites (3/4 advertised chairs), there was a total of 1 chair amongst the 3 campsites. Sitting on the ground was a bummer. I would’ve packed my chairs otherwise.

Gorgeous!!
We camped at the fire pit on a bald with incredible views of the green smoky mtns. Great base of operations for excursions along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Convenient to Brevard for resupply and activities. Good price. 4WD advised. Designated parking for campers is missing signage.

Beautiful view
#1 Stuart responds quickly which was nice since he did warn us it’s difficult to find and we were indeed confused when we arrived
#2 it’s a little confusing to get there so come early to allow time for that and to enjoy the view before dark.
#3 area is a bit noisy from the surrounding town. Night time was spent listening to cars driving fast and techno music blaring from the surrounding homes or other campers, I couldn’t tell.
#4 gas station and restaurants close by

A great spot! Stuart’s land is beautiful, and the site (3) was secluded and serene. Being so close to great hikes and sights was an added bonus.
