We loved the privacy and the peace and quiet of the area. If you like rural areas and a view for horses you would love this camp site.

Calm and quiet simple spot. Enjoyed watching the horses! Just what we needed close to town.

Close to town, bugs were relentless

Google will try to take you down B. Stokes, ignore it. My partner&I were signed up for site 7, which was close to the tree line, which we preferred for protection from any rain n for setting up our sleeping arrangements. Before arrival, I was informed that there were two long time RV renter's that sometimes weren't actually there, but there RV's were there. Well, unfortunately as it turned out, the RV renter who wasn't actually there that weekend had taken site 7. None of the other marked sites were really what we needed, so we ended up having to set up in an area that wasn't even actually a site, so we didn't have direct access to the power spots or water, though it was only 20 feet away or so, so it's not like it wasn't available. The other long time RV renter (Ron) came over and introduced himself and said it was very informal there, so that was good that we at least weren't likely to get in trouble for not setting up in a marked site. We got camp set up successfully, but good LORD, the midges, mosquitos, and all sorts of other biting bugs were relentless. I don't know how my partner did it without any sort of bug mesh over himself that night, but I was glad to have bug mesh around my cot because they were driving me mad. It did end up raining on us, so we were glad we were able to get everything set up properly before that came along. Left early in the morning&continued on! If you don't need much from a campsite and can deal with the bugs, this is the place!

The host was extremely kind because he tried to help me with I problem I had with my RV. And the site was very quiet and perfect to spend a night close to a farm.

What a quiet and relaxing stay this is! Has all the hookups and a view of horses! Very close to all amenities. Host was very kind and met us at the driveway so we didn't pass it by. He even offered to help us set up. Would definitely recommend this if you're in the area. 😊
