Elk Knob Campground

Got backcountry? Elk Knob State Park certainly does! So if you feel like gettin’ a little rugged take to the newly constructed summit trail. You’ll find sites as close as one mile to as far as two. No biggie for even an amateur hiker. Be sure to load your packs up well for an overnighter. The only amenities at these sites are dazzling cove forests and streams you will hike by. So make sure you pack H2O or at least a filtration device. Too bad for pyros, as there ar no campfires permitted, but look on the dark side, with no blaze to ruin your night vision you’ll be on point for some epic star-gazing.
