Beautiful land with scenic hiking trails close by. Great spot for stargazing. My stay with my 2 small dogs was peaceful and relaxing. Bathroom options were a plus (not too far from the site), along with the picnic table, fire pit, grill, and WiFi. I'd definitely come back for another visit!

Perfect
We loved camping in our RV at Dark Ridge Hideout, site#2. Curtis is very friendly and informative, you have to hike to the Compression Falls he'll tell you about. We bought a few bundles of firewood and Magical Fire Packs and he brought them right over. We will definitely keep this one in mind and be back if we are in the area.

We only stayed one night and Curtis was an amazing host he gave us great info on an beautiful nearby waterfall. The shower was very well maintained with warm water. This was a great location with some great views. It was very hands off and we were free to explore the property I would absolutely recommend!

Streams, Mountains, Waterfalls!
WOW, what a wonderful vacation we had staying at Dark Ridge Hide Out! Curtis was a wonderful host, always checking on his campers and making sure everyone was having a good time. He told us about Compression Falls just a few miles away, and we went there and found the most beautiful waterfall spot you can imagine (as well as challenging hike/rock climb). Curtis has lived there all his life, and shared local stories about the area. Dark Ridge Hide Out is only 8 miles from the town of Beech Mountain, a small mountain town where you can find a burger and some groceries. What a great getaway, we can't wait to go back soon :)
