10 acres hosted by Ben C.
1 lodging site
We have 10 acres of property that is bordered on 3 sides by Gorges State Park. There are multiple creeks, and you’ll hear rushing water throughout the night while you fall asleep. Hike the Foothills trail just steps away, mountain bike the trails in the state park and view some of the 43 waterfalls in Gorges State Park.Welcome to Camp Frozen Creek, we have two campsites on our property. This site is located adjacent to the Frozen Creek entrance to Beautiful Gorges State Park. We are a family run business with a goal of offering you, your family, and friends a unique outdoor experience in the beautiful Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina.
While you can park and spend your entire stay with us enjoying the hiking and biking trials to more than 30 waterfalls in Gorges State Park, we are also just a few minutes drive from: -Table Rock -Historic French Broad River -Lake Toxaway -Pisgah National Forest -DuPont State Forest and -Downtown Brevard ..where You can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fly fishing, horseback riding and numerous restaurants and breweries.
Just pack your drinking water, clothes and bed linens, otherwise all the basics of camping are covered for you.
We are Camp Frozen Creek on Google Maps, but the driveway is sort of hidden on a blind curve so it’s easy to miss. We border the Gorges State Park, so if you make it to the Frozen Creek Entrance to the State Park you should use that parking lot to turn around in.
There’s a Port O Potty in the parking area. You can park on either side of it.
The heater in the tent does work.
***As a reminder, these tents don’t include bedding in the base price, so you’ll want to bring your own, or a sleeping bag to roll out on the mattress.
***Also please note you need to bring your own drinking water. There is water here for washing dishes/shower etc.
***We do have a shower shack. Please bring your own towel.
For night arrival there is a lighted walking pole plugged in at the parking area. Feel free to use it.
You will hike up the dirt driveway (not the gravel) to access your tent. It is about a 400 yard “intermediate hike” to the tent. Please note which tent you have booked. The first tent on the right is “First Draw Creek”
“Fern Forest Hideaway”, is the second tent on your right…about 75 yards beyond the first tent.
We look forward to your arrival. Please don’t hesitate to call or text from now, and throughout your stay if you need anything at all.
There is a nearby road on the other side of the creek, but its rural and for most of the year a few minutes will go by between vehicles.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
