Our property was once owned by Transylvania County Sheriff Carter McCall. 36 acres in the middle of Pisgah National Forest. “Simple Mountain Camping” is our motto. Located approximately seven miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, At the Ridge Campground is surrounded by North Carolina’s beautiful Pisgah National Forest and the North Fork River. Here you can experience what you came to the Blue Ridge Mountains for: crisp evenings, sitting around the campfire, excellent views, relaxing in nature, hiking to waterfalls and fishing, Don’t forget our favorite, just watching the water go by! All at an affordable price.

Loved the cabin. Loved the campground. Loved the host. Nothing fancy, but just right. On the river... all I need!

The cabins with the river flowing through, so pretty! Everyone was very nice and happy to help with pretty much anything. There were barking dogs a good part of the day, but I understand they were keeping the bears away. Overall super cute and welcoming property

Highly recommend this Hipcamp.
Tom was a very good host. All hookups and washer and dryer. Good hot showers. Nice site by a stream. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

River Camp Cabin #1
My entire experience at the Camp Site was most positive. The Hosts/owners were very attentive and took great care regarding any matters of concern or need. My dogs were able to enjoy a canine paradise... which I am so appreciative of!
