Pull Thru, Full Hookup, RV Site 1
The site was described as overlooking a mountain view, but I don't feel like hip camp should describe it that way. I didn't see a mountain view. That's what I thought I was booking, unless when we checked in the person checking us in put us in a site on the wrong side of camp. Pretty river view though. I feel like $112 for the night was too much for the site we received. The site we got looked nothing like the picture advertised on hip camp.

Glamping Pod 1
Right Across Herkimer Mine
Had a good time staying. My first KOA ever. There was a mix up with Hipcamp and KOA’s booking. I’d recommend reserving through their website. Luckily, there was room for us in a different area of the campground. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rain canceled some of their events, but we had fun walking around anyway. They have 24hr laundry.

Field Tent Site 1, No Hookups
Highly recommend family friendly
I loved tent camping at herkimer KOA . Ive been there about 6 times and this was my first time booking through hipcamp they offer a better price and option to stay less than 3 nights ( it’s a 3 night minimum through KOA website). I highly recommend this campground it’s super family friendly with tons of activities like swimming, tubing and mining for herkimer diamonds. Also dog friendly and clean amenities.

Field Tent Site 1, No Hookups
Wonderful.
Not entirely sure why this is on hipcamp, but it was awesome. It’s the Herkimer Mines KOA and not a traditional spot on someone else’s property. The grounds were well maintained and our spot was full hookups directly backed up against the river. Will certainly be back to explore more.
