Really nice property. Cathleen drove us out to the site in the gator. Very short walk back to the car though!

Cathleen happily greeted me as I pulled up the drive way and parked. We walked together through the back yard of her home onto a wooded path which led to my campsite for the night.
No more than 10 paces into the woods, just after passing the Faerie Glen on the right, did the two of us spy a young dear bounding through the forest.
We continued for another minute or two down the path while Cathleen explained to me the lay of her property and pointed out areas of interest. We came upon the area in which I was camping (site 2) and Cathleen explained that there was potential for some poison ivy in the low scrub vegetation that marked the outer perimeter of that site. Being highly allergic, when she explained that I could set up in a different area, even though I would have likely been fine at site 2, I did opt to set up in the second area she pointed out.
I sleep in a hammock/tent setup and was able to easily identify two trees to use. There was a rock fire ring for a fire. I was quite literally using the site as a place to crash after traveling all day for an event in Syracuse, so I spent no time hanging out. I returned from the event around 11pm and had no problem pulling into the parking area and quietly walking back to my site with a headlamp and settling into my hammock and falling asleep to the echoing chatter of barred owls and other woodland critters.
I rose not long after sunrise, quickly packed up, and made haste.
Nice spot to rest your head in the woods.

Magical place. Very soulful and beautiful. We loved the giant pine and the labyrinths.

Camping in peace
Cathleen has made a system of trails that connect different features of her land. There's plenty of playground items for kids, trails with botanical markers, and a meditation labyrinth. At the outer most reach of there land are three camping sites; a lean-to and two tent sites, plenty secluded from the trails and each other. While not at the sites, there is an out house closer to the buildings on the property.
The whole place is quiet and serene.

Cathleen is a wonderful host and I had a great time tent camping on her land (site 2). I came to see the eclipse and Cathleen went above and beyond to facilitate a truly memorable experience! I will definitely come back (when it's a little warmer) to explore the land and meditative qualities of it more fully.
