Unirondack is located on a 9-acre plot of land on a small peninsula on Beaver Lake in the Western Adirondack Park in Upstate New York about 30 miles east of Lowville, NY. We acknowledge that we are humble stewards of land previously occupied by the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, specifically the Mohawk and Oneida Nations. We are roughly 90 minutes north of Utica and 2.5 hours from Syracuse. The camp is comprised of 10 cabin buildings of various ages, most original t0 the property from the 1920s. We have a large presentation/theater space, a small recording studio, a field for large group activities or sports, a gaga pit, a swingset and small basketball court, a large two story Adirondack-style lodge with fireplace, and a large heated dormitory-style building. Our maximum sleeping capacity is around 150 although our dining hall only seats 120 at a time. On the lake we have a boathouse and a beautiful artshop studio space. Our boathouse  has 14 canoes, 10 kayaks, and 2 sunfish sailboats and we have a small beachfront with a dock and swimming area. Additionally we have a large campfire circle which can seat about 100 people.

Lakeside Birch grove
Very lovely camping trip!
What a lovely campsite this was! It was secluded and quiet, both of which I was seeking upon booking my get away. The host and other staff were very accomodating and made you feel very welcomed. I look forward to staying again soon.

Overlook Cabin- first floor
Everything I dreamed of and more
This was everything I dreamed of in a nature retreat. It's an oasis! You can hike to gorgeous waterfalls nearby. There's a huge calm lake to swim or go boating. Lots of trees and greenery, and some wild blueberry and raspberry plants! A campfire area for night time fun, full kitchen, and fireplaces in the lodge and dining house. If you're lucky you might spot some awesome wildlife like bald eagles, beavers and loons. They have wifi if you need it, but there was so much to do that I hardly looked at my phone! It's a bargain if you're looking for a relaxing getaway. I loved staying here. Highly recommend!

the woods quad: Chadwick
Quiet woodsy vacation
We loved staying in Chadwick - it is newly updated, has its own shower and bathroom, and was nice and warm. Plus, it can fit a good number of people and is fairly secluded in the back part of the property. We had a great time walking down to the lake in the morning to see the sunrise, and going on many canoe trips around the area. It all felt very safe and clean and comfortable, and we can't wait to go back.

A cozy
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy, rustic cabin. It was quiet and private. The cabin had its own bathroom and enough bunk beds for a whole family. Very simple, but perfect for us. The Shower House (with hot showers) is only a 2 minute walk away. The best part of staying here was that the lake was just a short short walk down the hill. Beaver Lake is a beautiful, peaceful, and expansive Adirondack lake...perfect for kayaking or canoeing. There were a number of places to relax and sit outdoors on this piece of property (picnic tables, a campfire circle, Adirondack chairs, docks to sit on, etc). We had some relaxing moments reading and playing games in the Adirondack chair sitting area outside the cabin. If you want to experience the Western Adirondacks without having to tent camp, this cabin room rental is a great alternative.

Schuyler Lake Cabin
Beautiful woodsy retreat
We had an incredible time up at Unirondack! Schuyler Lake is a cute private room in classic Adirondack log cabin with its own half-bath and a shared front porch. Much of it looks recently updated as well. Right out the door is a peaceful open area overlooking the lake and easy access to communal spaces like the dining hall and lodge a few feet away. We spent a lot of time Kayaking out on Beaver Lake and hiking nearby (the Stillwater Fire Tower has a particularly nice view). The whole environment is quiet, secluded, and beautiful in every way. You can hear Loons across the lake, everything smells like the forest, and you have a perfect view of stars and one night we could even see the Milky Way with our bare eyes. I cannot wait to go back!

Sweet Cabin 2 (Upstairs)
A Magical Place in the Adirondacks
This may be the most beautiful place on the planet, certainly in NYS. The sense of peace and being present in your natural surroundings was an incredible release from the tension and noise of NYC. We had use of the kayaks and canoes on a lake that seemed to go on forever. Often the only sound was the loons, and we were startled to see an eagle soar overhead. The room itself was rustic and comfortable. All the common buildings were obviously designed to fit in the natural surroundings and several had wonderful views and comfortable nooks and crannies for sitting and reading a book or socializing. The staff, especially the camp manager Elizabeth, made us feel more than welcome. We have rarely stayed someplace that we felt more at home.
