Rachel was a great host. She greeted me at the front of the property, and we had a lovely conversation. I felt very welcomed to her space. She then guided me to the cabin at the back of the property, in the woods. Rachel also provided firewood for the campfire, which was very nice of her. The cabin itself was great, with a sofabed and a small picnic table. The netting in the cabin walls kept the insects out and allowed me to get a feeling of being outdoors even while inside the cabin. There was an occasional sound of a dog barking or a car in the background, but overall, I was able to disconnect here quite well. Overall, I would definitely stay again!

Perfect cabin!
After tent camping for the past 10 days, this little cabin was perfect for a few days of relaxation before getting back on the road again. Rachel was super helpful and generous. The shack was secluded into the woods, but our car was not too far away either so we felt very safe. Nice spot!

Overall good experience..host was friendly and the area was beautiful! We just needed a quick place to stay for the night so it worked perfect! Wouldn’t recommend during cold months but we were able to sleep in our van. Entrance instructions could be a little more detailed..we arrived a little past sunset so it was hard to see where we needed to go.

cozy, friendly, rustic - perfect!
The sugar shack was exactly what we were looking for! The hosts were so friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed - firewood, lights, drinking water, composting toilet, bedding. They had great suggestions for what hikes to do around the area and the site was so cozy. The first night it rained quite hard all night but the shack kept us completely dry and cozy. For those looking for something more established than tent camping but less lux/expensive than a true cabin this is the perfect spot for you.

Sap Happy Farm
I enjoyed my stay in the screened in cabin! The location was easy to find and there was plenty of dry, chopped firewood provided. It was the perfect low-maintenance camping option for me and my pup to get away for the day. It's far enough away from the house that it feels private, but it's not super far back into the woods. If you're hoping to be away from civilization entirely, it might not feel like a complete escape -but it is on a nice part of the property with plenty of woods surrounding, and the view of the stars was wonderful. Communication was easy and I felt very welcome. It's very close to the Blue Job trail, with some nice hiking. I would return!
