Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. We offer a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Also in 2023 I added a port a potty for tent campers. Generator rental available. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include canoe rental, trout fishing, and mountain bike park. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. If you are camping to be close to nearby attractions or don't mind a muddy, flooded river I can let you camp on higher ground. Not quite as private but still lots of room. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.Camp beside the James River and spend the day in Springfield, 20 miles away or Branson, 30 miles away. Bring your kayak or canoe and float or fish. Canoe Rental (Hooten Town canoe rental, reservations recommended) and public boat ramp available 1 mile away. Or bring your mountain bike and visit Two Rivers Bike Park located 5 miles away. Also Trout fishing at a private park is 3 miles away. River access from campsite is via a staircase (see pictures) or a nearby private access for launching canoes. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. If you are camping here to be close to local attractions or don't mind a flooded, muddy river I have room on higher ground. Not as private but plenty of room.

Great host! We've been here many times and it is always great. The dock is very relaxing, the portable toilet is very clean, and he always makes sure there is enough firewood.

Fantastic campsite and host.
We loved this campsite, Greg was an amazing host, we had some issues of our own and he was so accommodating and helpful with what we had going on. The river was so refreshing, and peaceful. Would highly recommend staying here, we can't wait to book again with Greg.

A basic, no frills, campsite. But the bathroom was clean, the host was kind and accommodating, there was lots of space to run around, and the river view was wonderful. Playing and swimming in the river and having it almost completely to ourselves was the best! Greg even brought down an extra inner tube for our little girl to play in.

Gregory and his wife were super sweet! They made me a cheeseburger and brought me some wood. It was a lovely spot to spend a couple of nights.
