Tent or RV Site Overlooking Pond
Wrong time of year, however relaxin
The campground was quiet and secluded, it was a great chance to just relax from electronics. The weather was very dry so it was very dusty and after speaking to a worker I was told they had little rain this summer. The ambiance noisy was wonderful from the mules to the goats. I would definitely go again after some much needed rain

It was easy to get to Elizabeth's farm from Potosi. The pond was lovely and the kids loved visiting the animals. Our spot among the trees had a convenient firepit.

Camping Anniversary❤️
Hawks Bluff was amazing! Elizabeth and her team keep everything up and running smoothly. Ask for Missouri Mike, he’ll tell you about all the druzy quarts available for the picking. Overall, could not ask for a better anniversary weekend!

Cool place
Quiet getaway with extremely nice people. Everyone I met was so kind. I stayed in a camper but saw some very cute yurts set up in the forest. How magical! There were animals you could pet which my kids enjoyed. There are composting toilets and I wasn't sure exactly what that meant until I got there. I would describe them as outhouses but less stinky. They were clean. There are also showers which are ok. Those could use some finishing touches but when you're camping you can't be too picky.😉 The warmth and water pressure were perfect. I was able to see the northern lights on one of my nights there and it was fantastic to be away from the light pollution of the city. There's a cool creek you can walk to and find sparkly rocks. We drove about an hour away to Johnson Shut In's one day and an hour away to a bike park on another day, so even though you are secluded there are things to go see not too far from camp. If I could change one thing it would be more distance where the RV's are parked. You're pretty much right on top of each other and I have a lot of kids so I'm always worried we are too loud for others looking to get away for a relaxing time. My screaming toddler surely interrupted that. 🫨 And by the image in the hip camp site it looked like it would have been farther away from people. Overall great time. Thank you!

Tent or RV Site Overlooking Pond
It was easy to get to Elizabeth's land from Potosi. The site was well maintained and we liked camping amid the trees. They were nice enough to supply us with some firewood, too! The shower house was a bit far from our campsite--about a five minute walk at a good pace. We appreciated the starry skies and the kids loved the animals!

Peaceful and relaxing weekend!
We wanted to find a quiet place for tent camping with lots of space to spread out. Elizabeth's property was perfect! We enjoyed visiting the animals, and waking up in the morning to an orchestra of roosters, cows, dogs, and a million different birds. We will definitely be back!
