Pitch a tent or park a camper or small RV on our nonprofit farm. We have 5 acres of pasture/garden and 15 acres of woods in the River Bluffs of NW Missouri. Find a place in a meadow to star gaze and watch the moon, or hike into the woods for a secluded camping experience. Beautiful rolling hills, wildlife, wild flowers, peace and quiet are just a few of the perks in this rare location next to the Bluffwoods Conservation Area. Be prepared to get your hands dirty with this listing. All campers have the opportunity to volunteer one hour per day while staying at Beacon Farm. We are a nonprofit Christian ministry planting God's love one seed at a time. Donating organic produce to those in need here in Saint Joseph. Your hour of volunteer time each day could consist of harvesting veggies, weeding, stacking wood, milking goats, or any number of other things, depending on the time of year you are here. Look up, a masterpiece.
Very nice, hard working people. Beautiful farm. 10 min drive to gas, groceries, restaurants, and a bowling alley. Some hiking trails on site, but also 2 miles of paved handicap friendly trails just 5 mins away. There is also a conservation area that is 5 mins away that boast a lookout area that feels like you can see clear across the state of Kansas, but you will have to hike a 1/2 up a bluff. I 100% recommend staying here, especially if you have kids.

We loved the Beacon farm! It was an honor to meet Kevin and Cheri and learn about their work and dedication. The campsite itself was very peaceful and clean. We got to say hi to the farm animals and experience goat milking. Highly recommend!

Fireflies galore
We showed up late and left early. It was peaceful and I’ve never seen so many fireflies!
