Looking to put that Paleo diet to work climbing some trails?
Nowhere better than the stunning Tishomingo, where archaeological excavations show the presence of Paleo Indians in the area as early as 7000 B.C. You won’t find the enormous rock formations that characterize this park’s unique natural beauty anywhere else in the state. Camp by Haynes Lake if you like the scenic view of a full moon glistening off the water as you roast those midnight marshmallows (of course, you would then be cheating on that paleo diet of yours).

This is a hidden gem. the hiking trails are amazing and you would not believe it was in Mississippi if you do not see for yourself. they have cabins and lodges ( i did not stay in those), tent camping areas and RV sites. I stayed on the RV sites and they have water and electricity.
The only negatives I could say : they need to maintain the RV pads better as most have a severe drop off of the concrete pad that could twist an ankle if you are not careful, and cut some low hanging limbs at the sites to prevent hitting with your RV.
Thant being said I will be returning as soon as I can.
