East of Barn
Top Notch Host and Spot!
Hughe’s Barn was the perfect spot to tent camp for a night. Hugh is incredibly gracious and welcoming. The amazing guest bathroom with perfect shower Hugh provided in his barn was a welcome relief. The grounds were immaculate and felt safe. The site was secluded behind the barn and the picnic was a nice touch. I highly recommend Hugh’s Barn.

Hugh is a generous host with a generous heart. It’s not just a camp site. It’s a working farm filled with dreams, family, and rows of fresh vegetables growing nearby that maybe you’ll be invited to pick. Nice barn conversion underway with access to new bathroom, electricity, and glamping potential. ❤️👍

Very relaxing, beautiful location
Camping at Hugh's barn was great. He was very kind, invited me to dinner with his family and friends when I arrived, gave me fruits and vegetables from his garden. I was the only camper there so it was very peaceful and there was plenty of room.
The bathroom was in a barn apartment that is being fixed up and there was a fridge and microwave that Hugh allowed me to use as well.
The view was beautiful, the birdsong relaxing. I would go back again.

No frills, All substance
We had a peaceful one night stay here with plenty of space to set up our tent. Hugh was very welcoming and responsive. Magical spot for stargazing! We fell asleep to owls hooting and woke up with the birds chirping. The apartment in the barn was mid renovation so quite cluttered, but met our standards for tent camping (we are accustomed to rustic national and state park -style camping). We had easy access to the most precious roadtrip amenities: clean water, flush toilet, good water pressure in the shower, and refrigeration.

It's a little further off the main highway but Hugh was so nice and it was so easy to park. The electric was right there and he had a hose hookup that we hooked our water hose to. The bathroom in the barn is actually part of a unused apartment and very spacious.

Quiet setup in the middle of the woods on Hugh's homestead. He offers his renovated barn as the base for his campgrounds. It's a peaceful, serene setting with a forest backdrop. Absolutely stunning vision!
If you're looking to be off the grid, without going too far from a town, this is it. At the camp, wifi is a hit or miss, but Hugh is a wonderful host and opened up his barn with shower, full fridge etc for use to campers.
