Description
Yellow Medicine River Campground is near the banks of the river. Campsites are spacious, so you can spread out a bit. Anglers, cast a line for walleyes, northerns, catfish, bullheads, and carp. You could even catch a glimpse of white pelicans and great blue herons near the water. Take a hike through the forests, river valleys, prairies, and bluffs of the park. Last but not least, bring that camera!

Careful here in late summer. There's a cow pasture nearby and the flies were completely out of control (constantly had flies landing on me from the time I got out of the tent in the morning to the time I got back in) when I was here in August '20. Absolutely beautiful scenery and lots to do, hopefully they mitigate the fly problem somehow.
