Our property North Ridge Pines is often known as The River Farm and our family became stewards of this unique and beautiful rural farm in 2014. It is a rare combination of deciduous and pine trees, prairie meadows that bloom in mid summer and fall, a small section of the LeSueur River as well as a small pond. Our goal is to provide a small private camping get-away spot in nature for you to relax. We have 4 sites where you do not see the other sites from your location. We have a few lawn games such as bean bag toss/corn hole, croquet, as well as a canoe, 2 person kayak, and a paddle board to enjoy on the pond. The pond does not have any fish. Life jackets available for youth and adults. The River Farm once owned by Ulysses S. Grant and purchased from former Speaker of the House Rod Searle's family. It was nicknamed the Jewel of Waseca County because of it's scenic area of the LeSueur River Valley, rolling hillside and diverse topography. Remote valley offers peace and quite with a few frogs, fireflies to enjoy in the summer nights. Pets are allowed at the sites, but for safety please be with your pet or have your pet on a leash when here. Thanks.

Pond for the blonde.
Actually I was at the pond site. It was great. Loved it. Total privacy. My dog loved the pond jumping in and who knows what else. Dan and Jane are 2 of the best hosts. I highly recommend.

The pond site
We have stayed twice at this set of sites. The pond location was nice and the birding by the pond was great saw a few species I had not seen before. Enjoyed the firepit and the stars late into the evening..

Great birding weekend
This is our second time to Dan and Jane's. Once again a very pleasant and memorable experience. It is very secluded and peaceful. Saw lots of birds. Dan and Jane are great hosts and the grounds are well groomed. Lots of hiking paths. We will be back again soon.

Peaceful Pines
This was first Hipcamp booking. Dan and Jane were super easy to communicate with, gave great directions, and were there to greet me when I arrived. They walked thr property with me and offered me a couple different options, which was very nice. I settled on staying at The Pines because it offered a bit more privacy. Plenty of firewood was provided. The walk through the prairie on the mowed trails was beautiful, so many flowers. Had a very restful night, and was given the option of staying as long as I wished the next day. As a single traveler, i felt very safe on their property. Wonderful, friendly hosts. I hope to be back again someday.

Site 1 The Pines
Pines and Good Times
This is a really great piece of property and it is well maintained. The hosts were very nice and wanted to ensure that we had everything we needed. The Pines gave us the feeling of seclusion even though it wasn’t far off the road (which wasn’t used frequently enough to be bothersome). The space was nice and open. They had the grass trimmed up. One thing to note is that there is a flat area for your camp but the open space is ascending and not flat. We enjoyed our time and Waseca was a cute town to visit with plenty of things nearby if you wanted to leave camp for a bit.
Location
Waseca, Waseca, Minnesota, United StatesTraditional, ancestral territory of Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, Wahpeton, and Wahpekute First Nations according to To respect the Host's privacy, the precise address of this land will be provided after booking
