Great access to Mackinac and more!
I camped in a 32' class C with my parents and 3yo son. Chris was welcoming when we arrived and his wife also brought us Mackinac Island fudge. The property was charming, well-shaded, and comfortable with firewood provided. We were just passing through and looking for an overnight spot with electric to run the AC, but the water hook-up was a nice bonus. (Good tasting water--my mom is particular about water!) Had we more time, we would have loved to explore the hiking trails. Being so close to Mackinaw City and other north Michigan attractions, I would definitely stay again as a home-based for visiting the area.

We have been camping for over 25 years. This was a first for us. We have never used Hipcamp before and was a little nervous to use it. We were pleasantly surprised. Chris and his lovely wife were amazing host! They provided extremely helpful tips and tricks that made our trip to the island a more pleasurable experience.
The location was perfect and very easy to locate. The site was level.

A Northern Michigan Gem
This was the first time we used a Hipcamp site. It exceeded our expectations. The sight is the perfect location for day trips in northern Michigan. The Mackinac Island ferries are just minutes away. The Soo Locks are an hour away. Scenic drives, Tunnel of Trees and Legg’s Inn are all close by. The site itself is easy to get to and access to site services are very accessible. I can’t imagine a more helpful and accommodating host than Chris. As a fellow trailer hauler he helped me - a newbie - to address an issue with my chains including providing parts. We heartily recommend staying here.

Great Trip base
Great Host, will give any help they can, the camp site has lovely view of rolling hills to the forest out your door. The location worked great for us, for our day trips to Sault st. Marie locks andthe pictured cliffs in the UP while easy access to the quaint towns near it.
