The Sturgeon Gorge Wilderness is just a hop, skip and jump down the road. Visit Canyon Falls, Historic Alberta Village, pick blueberries in the Baraga Plains, or jump onto the North Country Trail. Perfect weekend at Little Trailer
We had a great time staying on Jacquelyn’s land. We rented Little Trailer on Big Lake for a weekend at the start of October 2024. The fall colors at that time were just starting to pop. My sister and I needed a place while visiting my son at Michigan Tech for the weekend and the Little Trailer fit all of our needs. Although we weren’t at the trailer much during the day, the well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to make my son a home cooked meal. Everything was clean, organized and instructions for checking in were very clear and simple. I would definitely recommend booking Little Trailer on Big Lake if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in the U.P.

⚠️ 😍 Beautiful
We loved staying at this little camp on Big Lake. The night sky is so dark you can see the milky way. We had a daily visitor. A somewhat tame fox. We also loved watching all the local birds. We saw many eagles, grouse, geese, cranes, and Swans in the area. There were hundreds of turkeys and many deer. We spent a week exploring many waterfalls close by. This location can't be beat. Cell data is fairly good even in this remote location, and they just ran fiber down this road while we were staying. Thanks for the geat stay.

Everything was great! Trailer is very clean and stocked with anything you could need. The area is very private and full of wildlife! As well as a lake great for fishing and swimming (its spring fed so the water is nice and warm). 10/10 would say again!

With kids
The land and trailer were beautiful. Clean, well maintained, and a very welcoming environment. Our family of 4 was very comfortable with the sleeping arrangements and the hosts made our stay more than convenient. The trailer was equipped with everything we needed and more. It was almost 90° over the weekend we stayed, but the trailer remained cool enough to be comfortable, and the lake was a great way to cool off even more. My kids were happy to fish off the dock and were able to catch all the wanted. The lake and home were quiet and peaceful. The hosts left us with some information for local attractions that we put to use and had a great time exploring. I honestly can't say enough about how comfortable, happy, relaxed, and at peace we all felt there. There wasn't one thing more that we could have asked for. It's been many years since our family has been able to take vacation, and this was everything that we need. 100

Um, YES!
My husband and I had the absolute best time at the Little Trailer! It was a super chilly weekend and it kept us nice and warm, we got to do some practice casting off the dock, and got to explore the provided map of cool nature spots around Baraga county! If you’re looking for a homey little getaway, look no further. This is your sign to book with Jackie and Joe!
