Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Foolhardy Hill is a campground in Charlemont, MA that provides the basic essentials needed for outdoor lodging and lots of extra creature comforts for your convenience. Private, rustic cabin and tent sites provide a cozy place to rest while the communal spaces bring people together to share stories and exchange tips before the next day's adventure. ***Please note, all guests must be 16+ years of age to visit/camp at Foolhardy Hill*** We have an epic location that offers scenic mountain views and access to mountain biking, white water rafting & kayaking, zip lining, hiking and fishing all within a 3 mile radius. Venture out just several miles further and you will be immersed in museums and galleries, eateries, local breweries, shops and more. GROUP CAMPING Foolhardy Hill is smaller than your typical campground, making it feasible for groups to rent the entire place. If you have a group of 12 or more people or simply want a very exclusive experience, we highly recommend exploring this option. The entire campground can be rented out at discounted rate and is designed to comfortably sleep up to 24 people. If your group exceeds 24 people, please contact info@foolhardyhill.com to inquire about our overflow options. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Our cozy cabins are designed mainly for sleeping use, so space is limited when it comes to indoor activities. Guests should expect to spend the majority of their time outside. There's no such thing as too much fresh air! Foolhardy Hill is off-grid; The cabins are free of electricity, plumbing and gas connections meaning there is no air conditioning or heat. Solar and battery powered lighting systems are available at the cabins, however, guests should come prepared with back up light sources and their own portable charging stations. There is cell service at the property. Foolhardy Hill is a self service base camp (think Airbnb outside). Management is only a quick text or phone call away and staff can be onsite within 30 minutes. Everything we needed and more
Awesome stay at foolhardy! First time for me, but definitely won’t be the last. Talk about amenities! I felt over prepared bringing all my gear. In reality all I needed was bedding, towel, toothbrush and food. The community area had all the cook wear we needed with plenty of ways to use it, beautiful dish station with hot and potable water and even a cooler we could have used. Complimentary wood and propane plus soap/shampoo/conditioner were a really nice touch. The view right from our cabin or pavilion or firepit was gorgeous, take your pick! We had the place to our selves, but would love to get a big group of friends together here or meet some new people during peak times. 11/10 would recommend to a friend!
