Two Dog Hut
Cozy little cabin in the woods.
We loved our stay at Two Dog Hut. The light snow that had fallen on Thanksgiving made our stay even more cozy. The cabin is a bit drafty but we kept the fire fed and stayed warm inside while the outside temperature dipped into the 20s. Our dog loved the hiking trails and we explored some of the other campsites. We’ll definitely return!

Pond Cabin
Outhouse Needs Servicing ASAP
We've been going to Pond Cabin for five years now. It's a super special place, though it has significantly negatively changed with ownership changes and since it came onto this website, Hipcamp. One main concern from our last stay is that the outhouse at Pond Cabin is absolutely full - it's pretty gross. It needs to be dealt with ASAP. I don't see how the Midcoast Conservancy can continue to charge these enormously inflated prices while not having a serviceable bathroom option. We're of course happy to pee outside when camping, but this land is very public and there needs to be a private bathroom option when charging nearly $200 a night to stay in the woods. It's absurd. HVNC has to deal with this before winter really sets in. It's inappropriate to charge what they do without any maintenance of the outhouses.

Two Dog Hut
We stayed in the Two Dog Hut. It's small but very comfortable. The wood stove is perfect. The loft has tons of room and there were some sleeping pads laid out which made it even more comfortable when using a camping pad. Ton's of fire wood available. The only thing I would recommend is that they update the maps. The ones located at the welcome center do not show where the campsites are. One of the posted maps does, but the physical one's do not show the camps. It's fairly obvious that Two Dog Hut is on Two Dog Trail, but the other's ones I would have struggled to find. All and all this place is amazing. My son and I had a great two days.

Joe & Doe Cabin
Yet another spectacular trip to Joe & Doe cabin! This is an incredible place to connect with friends and with all that the Midcoast's forests have to offer. Thank you to Midcoast Conservancy for all you do at HVNC.

Pond Cabin
I loved out stay at the Pond Cabin at Hidden Valley Nature Center! The hike in was easy and the cabin was cozy. Coloring on Dyer Pond was beautiful. It was so quiet. An all around great nature adventure.
