Trapper Bill's Cabin
Cabin- Guide’s Camp
Guide’s camp was a great time! The lake is beautiful and it was the best view of the stars and Milky Way we’ve ever experienced. The canoes were the best part!! We even saw the northern lights, which was amazing! There was a major learning curve with the gas lights but Katie was very helpful and promptly walked us through it. The outhouse was clean and did not smell much, and the cabins were spaced far enough apart. The cabins themselves were clean and had everything we needed to cook. The wood stove was already prepped, although we did not need it as there were plenty of blankets provided. Take heed of the directions she took the time to provide as our gps was trying to take us a long way that looked like it would not have worked. If we came back we would make sure we have AWD and a higher vehicle as the puddles and rocks on the dirt road were tough on my Honda civic.

Getting Away From it All
We loved staying at the Guide’s Cabin! Our cabin had a gas-powered lamp, gas stove, and gas fridge on the porch. It was great to get my sons away from their screens and in the great outdoors.
We used the kayak and canoes in the lake and paddled to a little island where wild blueberries grew right on the shore and we could reach out and grab them from our canoe!

This was a gem, a beautiful location, very peaceful and remote. Katie was an excellent, friendly and flexible host. Highly recommend!

A perfect getaway spot
We absolutely loved our stay at the Guide’s Cabin. Very rustic and super clean. Great hosts who even grabbed us some worms when she went to town. Canoe was available and to use and we would have had a great day fishing had the weather cooperated. If you want peaceful and quiet in the middle of nowhere - this is your place!!!!
