Originally the site of the B.D. Ellsworth Farm in the early 1900s, Harmony Farm today (a 40-acre small farm) is a glorious labor of love! I purchased this land during the infamous Ice Storm of 1998 and have spent 20 years bringing it back from a state of near ruin and chaos. As the granddaughter of a 4th generation Maine farmer, this farm was my vision and today is my obsession. I love the good life! I invite you to experience its peace and simple beauty with me. Learn more about this land: Open seasonally from May 15 to October 1, with beautiful views of Maine's wild Blue Mountains and Mt. Abram, (formerly Mt. Abraham) Salem's unique gem is located in what is known as, "The Crown Jewel of Maine" or Maine's High Peaks. Our cabin is private, sleeps two, with an outhouse and running water from a frost-hydrant nearby. Hipcampers can request fresh linens and perked camp coffee (with muffins) gladly served in the morning. The new thing in the great outdoors is "Agri-tainment" - come and let us entertain you on the farm - we are a beautiful site for a farm wedding or country family reunion and have access to a number of services and offerings to make your special event - whatever it may be - a memorable one!Open from May 15 - Oct. 1, with beautiful views of Maine's wild Blue Mountains and Mt. Secluded Gem!
Our stay at Kirsten’s was amazing. The cabin is a secluded gem and located on her wonderful farm just outside of Kingfield and nearby outdoor adventures. Kirsten is a very attentive host and knows how to make you feel right at home. Highly recommended if you want a quiet getaway. Will definitely return!

Gracious host. Super quiet and private spot. Deer browsing outside cabin. Cabin hand built by host's family. Nicely decorated with rustic items. Sunny porch. Enjoyed meeting friendly horses and the dog Ruru.

Can’t wait to return!
Our 3 nights at Kirstin’s cabin far exceeded my expectations! It was so quiet and peaceful and I haven’t slept that well in years! The cabin was so comfortable and cozy and the hot coffee Kirstin delivers in the morning might be the best coffee I’ve ever had! We will definitely be returning ASAP!

An Idyllic Weekend/Swim with Frogs!
Wow, what a special weekend! It was everything we could have asked for, and then some. Starting off exploring and spending sunset by the creek before stargazing by the fire until late, followed by swims at the frog pond and the river, it was an idyllic weekend all around that we are sure to remember fondly always. What tied our stay together had to be the truly above and beyond hosting from Kirsten - from camp coffee and muffins (YUM!) to door-to-door service at the river, there wasn't a moment these two city kids ever felt the slightest discomfort. Kirsten is not lying about being a camping pro! We are missing camp already, but will be re-visiting in our memories soon. With lots of love, Colin + Katie

Super friendly host. Felt welcomed
I booked this as a surprise for my girlfriend because she loves horses. Kirsten has 4 horses on her main property and it was an amazing experience to be able to see them before we settled in. Then she escorted us through a trail with our car maybe a half mile until a clearing opened up with the cutest little cabin on it. Very homey camp vibe. She provided us with a little fire ring and some dry wood. We had an amazing night camping here. Kirsten also delivered us waffles with blueberry sauce and maple syrup all homemade for breakfast to top it all off. Couldn’t have asked for a better hipcamp experience!! Thank you so much for everything, you were so accommodating!
