River View Camp

Really liked camping here. We basically had our own private pasture with access to the river. Our dog was especially appreciative—she really wanted to spend the night outside (we didn’t allow that, but she enjoyed being able to roam unleashed during the day). A quick drive into town to soak at the park, too. The path in from the road was easily passable in a stock Ridgeline pulling a 16’ camper, though I can see how wetter conditions might make it a bit of a challenge. Picnic tables and fire rings supplied, there was a trash can, too, but it looked like it hadn’t been emptied in a long time so we left it alone. Nice place! Hope to visit again!

Nice spot by the river.

We enjoyed a private camp by the river! What a great spot! We parked under the trees and put a tarp down and our chairs and table and enjoyed the beautiful view!

Nice countryside Hipcamp

We loved how quiet and secluded it was. Great view of the river too. The site is on pasture land so some leveling of your RV may be required. There are picnic tables and fire rings which was nice. There is a trash barrel on site but it was completely full so we couldn’t use it. There are great cottonwood trees for shade too. The only drawback was the road into it. It could use some gravel as it has some low boggy spots. It’s also close to Thermopolis, just 5 miles north of town.

Great location and site. Although we could not access the open space area due to heaven rain, we did a walk around the site. Will definitely like to return when things dry out.
