We are located just 50 miles from Yellowstone park! Please note, our property is not suitable for long-term rentals. In 2004 we purchased the acreage and soon discovered that it is located 1/2 mile from the Horner Buffalo Jump Archeological site. Thus our property, due to its steep terrain immediately took the name “Buffalo Jump”. With its many native trees and bushes the property became an ideal location for an artists studio, and since it had the RV site already in place, we soon had many friends and guests stopping by during the summer months. In 2020 we joined with hipcamp to make the RV site available to select campers. Far back in time the area was utilized by the first campers; Native Americans, who were here living off the land. Artifacts attest to the fact that the property and surrounding regions has been inhabited for the past ten thousand years. Quiet hours …all hours. We are located just 50 miles from Yellowstone park! Please note, that our property is not suitable for long-term rentals. GATEWAY TO YELLOWSTONE: PRIVATE HILLTOP RV SITE ON 3 ACRES W/FULL 30 AMP HOOK-UP AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS. We are located just one mile outside Cody in a quiet rural residential neighborhood, perfect for morning jogs, cycling, and evening strolls to watch the mountain sunset. Your private RV site includes city water, deck with picnic table, and shaded lawn with views of Heart Mountain and McCullough Peaks. 24-foot back-in site. Founded by Colonel William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody in 1896, the authentic Western town of Cody serves as the east gateway community to Yellowstone National Park. Buffalo Jump RV Campsite is the perfect location to access the Park and all Cody has to offer, including the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody Nite Rodeo, historic Sheridan Avenue shopping and restaurants, scenic and whitewater rafting on the Shoshone River, hiking and mountain biking trails, and the Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center (three pools, water slide, indoor track, and more).  Whether you stay with us for a night or a week, we promise you won’t run out of things to see and do!

Buffalo Jump Private RV Campsite
It was a very nice spot close to town in a secluded area even though the land borders a highway. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Gerald was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great camp spot!

Camping in Cody
This was a very nice camp site right outside of Cody. It was private with a lot of trees. We met the owner briefly and she was so nice. The sun is direct about 4pm to 6pm so it was nice to have our own shade. The only challenge we had was that it is a tough entry with a hill and a sharp right turn at the top to get in parking position. We have a 25 ft travel trailer and it was almost too long to make it. I strongly suggest you stop and walk up the hill to see what you need to do. This is a nice site with a tough entry but great when you get parked. Scott from Austin, TX.
