We had a great time canoeing and camping on the sandbars. The canoe route wasn’t overly long and very enjoyable! There are plenty of spots to pull off and swim or rest. It was very exciting to scope out a sandbar to set up camp on. Overall, we had an amazing time and the trip down the river was beautiful! The hosts were amazing and extremely personable as well. 10/10 recommend especially if you need a good reset!!

Although we had a crazy thunderstorm Saturday night on the sandbar the trip was overall very positively memorable! Rick and Elizabeth were incredibly helpful and considerate. I would definitely do this again!

Wisconsin Dells River Canoe camping
Such an awesome experience, and probably one of the best ways to explore Wisconsin! We loved being able to canoe the Wisconsin River at our leisure and choose the best sandbar we could find to set up camp. Walked in not too sure how things would go, but Rick and Elizabeth were very responsive and accommodating for us. Rick is a great guy and we really enjoyed our time spent with him as he drove us up the river to start our canoe journey. Then, the next morning we had a short canoe trip back to where we parked and could leave as soon as we got there. Honestly can’t recommend enough - such a cool way to explore the Wisconsin Dells and hope we can make it back!
