Bought to get grounded W.H.Y. did I purchase this 5 acres of land? This is my personal property I bought so I could get grounded while being surrounded by nature. Worth Healing Yourself is W.H.Y I invested in this land as well as myself! Enjoy rock hunting for agates, jasper, hematite, petrified wood and other mineral specimens. Property is 25 minutes from Richland Center. 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. Public land with miles of trout stream 3 miles away from the propertyy. The 400 State Trail is 7 miles away from property for bicyclists. Public road ATV and UTV trails surround WHY.  Both Lake Redstone and Dutch Hollow Lake are 10 miles away. The Baraboo and Pine River are within 10 miles. The famous Bunker Hill Tavern that hosts the cannon run is 1 mile away! Local village of Cazenovia offers two small town Tavern’s that serve food and good company. There is also a convenient store and small grocery store located in the village as well. This is not a commercial camp ground. Cancellation within Hipcamp Moderate Cancellation Policy WILL BE withheld with host discretion. Rent tax will NOT be refunded if cancelled within Moderate Cancellation Policy time frame.

WHYCamp Site 3
Afton’s site is great— tucked into the woods, plentiful firewood, lots of privacy, and this time of year the leaves were brilliant! The cats keep to themselves but are adorable. Most importantly, I feel safe even camping alone here!

Afton was a wonderful host. She's really passionate and driven to develop a really cool place to really relax and reset . We were the only campers there this weekend and it was magically peaceful. The Nature bath was 10/10 amazing . We spent the day hiking in the area , so soaking in the Bath with Espom salts was the perfect end to our day. Afton was always checking in (not to an annoying level 🤣) making sure we were comfortable and had all the things we needed . Shes really got a great thing going on and we will be back !! Thanks Afton!!

Positive experience
Great host. She was tentative and accommodating. Plently of spots to choose from. Port-a-potty was the cleanest I've ever seen. I would recommend the nature bath. Given time Afton will develop Camp WHY into a really unique experience through her creativity and enthusiasm. Despite the ground being wet due to bad weather she helped me start a fire and encouraged me to have fun. Her cats will follow you around and might spend the night.

Wouldn't Stay Again
The dispersed tent camping is on the side of the hill, we slipped downhill while sleeping. We smelled the porta potty all night. Neighboring dogs barked on/off throughout the night. A tin shed was below a walnut tree, when walnuts fall it made a loud gunshot-like noise that woke us up. There are friendly outside cats but it would have been nice to know about them beforehand. They jumped on us constantly, tried to eat our food, went through our garbage, walked on the table, and scratched my hand. We decided to cook somewhere else BC of the cats. We booked stay two night. We told the host of the poor sleep from the smell & hill. We asked to move spots to the top of the hill for the second night & would pay the difference. She said we had to cancel the current reservation & book the different site on hipcamp. My phone didn't have service but my friend's phone had service. I had the hipcamp account but I couldn't remember my password (BC it logs in automatically on my phone) so we couldn't log in. She said we could venmo her. My friend didn't have venmo, I did. My venmo needed ID verification via text/email since it was a foreign phone but I couldn't verify it BC I didn't have signal/internet. We left camp to find wifi but couldn't. She said we could use cash but would have to park away from our tent. We ended up not staying the 2nd night though we paid for it BC we needed our car close to our tent and didn't want to sleep on the hill and those were the two options we had.
