Fawn Hide Away- Serene And Secluded
Privacy, scenery, creature comforts
Fawn Hide-Away is an amazing experience. Each site is private, quiet and has access to all the creature comforts - bathroom, laundry, pizza oven, fire pit, table, water, safe place to duck out of a storm. There are plenty of birds, including pileated woodpeckers and whip-poor-wills! Roy is a remarkable host, with lots of background (concierge) information about the area, and help with anything you may need. Each site is meticulously maintained, and it's a delightful way to go camping.

Roy is da man
This is a picture perfect hip camp for just about anybody. I extended my stay to bring my 2 year old toddler and I am so grateful for Roy's space and hospitality. He is onve again, a very genuine and kind person and he has put alot of love and thought into his hipcamp. He truly wants people to enjoy it and feel comfortable. Do not think twice about booking. Just one thing to note, sites are not on driving paths so if you can't carry your gear, Roy will definitely help. He offered to help get things to the car. Thank you again good sir. We will be back.

Unforgettable
Everything went well. It actually turned into such an experience I had to book again for my toddler to experience it. Roy is one of a kind with his hospitality and kindness. I was looking at properties in the surrounding area and just booked to camp in the area but it really turned into my favorite thing about the trip. Very great work with this camp, it is a perfect family camping trip spot. A communal camping feel with the way it is set up but also a very peaceful and private setup we had. He went over and beyond with pizza night on his patio area. He is very passionate about cooking. Ask him about pork butt's. DO NOT pass this up. But please respect Roy and his home. He has set a standard for hospitality and kindness with his hip camp. Dollar general is very close and it is near waupaca and a great state park. Just know, you won't be disappointed with staying at Roy's hipcamp. I definitely will be returning and will be inviting a family or two to join. Thanks again Roy! Super experience/Very Accommodating
(Been traveling so my apologies for the review delay, Roy). From the first communication Roy was an incredible host! The campsite was private and separated enough from the others so that each site could have private conversation. The facilities were more than adequate, and the warm shower was so welcome after a long day. Extras like washer/dryer, coffee/tea, and the grills to cook were excellent...more than we expected. Thank you, Roy, for your hospitality and being so understanding of what became a crazy flight schedule in our travels. We will be happy to stay again when we pass through Wisconsin. God bless.

Howl Inn
Incredible Host, Incredible Place
Trey (Roy) was extremely hospitable and a pleasure to meet. His foraging knowledge was impressive (many wild edibles on his land). My wife and I had a good time making homemade pizza in his outdoor brick oven under his tutelage and certainly enjoyed eating our creations (the taste of the pizza is tops). The place is magnificently abounding in wild flowers, various birds, beautiful pine trees, and more stars in the night sky than I think I have ever seen at once.
