Hey there Happy Campers! We welcome you to our small slice of Driftless heaven. This private campsite is located in prairie land, surrounded by agricultural and wooded property (it’s quiet). Within a few minutes drive you have access to some of the best trout streams a fishing license can buy. You're also in close proximity to amazing hiking and biking trails, agri-tourism (apple pickin' good times!), endless photography opportunities, wineries, birding, stargazing and visits to downtown Viroqua! After a long day of adventuring, come back to this quiet retreat, make some brandy old fashions and enjoy the ambiance of the stars and crackling camp fire! This site can accommodate 2 large tents with plenty of room for a camp kitchen, fire pit and seating area. There is newly constructed composting style outbuilding (please read instructions before using it) and a camp kitchen table along with solar powered lighting. Firewood and other supplies are conveniently available in downtown Viroqua. Be sure to check out the various retailers and restaurants while you're there! Hope you enjoy the camp and we just ask to please leave it better than you found it!Hey Happy Campers! We welcome you to our small slice of Driftless heaven. You're also in close proximity to amazing hiking and biking trails, agri-tourism (apple pickin' good times!), wineries, endless photography, birding, all of your favorite winter sport opportunities, and of course downtown Viroqua! After a long day of adventuring, come back to this quiet retreat, make some Brandy Old Fashions, hang around the fire pit and enjoy all the stars! This site can accommodate 2 large tents with plenty of room for a camp kitchen, fire pit and seating area. There is a newly constructed composting style outbuilding and solar shower stall. Please read and follow all instructions. When pulling up to the property, there is a parking area that can easily accommodate 2 cars (or 1 vehicle and a small camper). From there, we have a walkway to the camp pad (about 50 steps away). We've left a wheel barrow chained to the lantern post which you can use to easily haul your gear to/from your vehicle. UPDATE: It’s Summer and the wild parsnip and giant hogweed are blooming all around the Driftless. While it’s pretty to look at, please use caution and limit any contact. (Google both so you know how to identify it) PRP TIP: you’re camping in prairie land, so an EZ Up style canopy is recommended if you plan to spend time at camp during the day. Hope you enjoy the campsite and we just ask to please leave it as good or better than you found it! - Cheers

Not for trailers or RVs
This is not a site for trailers of any size. The description lists this as an RV site but also lists a 12 foot max size for vehicles. I don’t know of any campers or RVs that are as small as 12ft. I wouldn’t recommend anything larger navigating the driveway anyway. The path to the site was thin and uneven and about 50 yards in reverse to the sites pad. After a few attempts, I gave up because it was not worth the risk of me tipping my trailer on the uneven driveway into a small ravine, just off the driveway. Also, the width of the driveway did not leave me enough room to correct the trailer and navigate the curves in reverse. If you have a trailer, it’s not worth booking here. I would have left and asked for a refund but all other sites were booked. I had to park just inside the gate on uneven ground with tall grass on both sides of the camper and little room to get around. All of the other amenities were as listed. It would be great for tent campers but not for trailers, rvs or anything larger than a van.

Would camp again!!
Amazing site, perfect size for 2, we had a large tent which fit nicely on the provided camp pad area. The compost toilet was clean and well constructed! Solar shower set up was well done! Love the addition of the picnic table, super nice. We had no mosquitoes. Second night we got an unexpected hoard of June bugs which made the night one to remember as we laughed when getting buzzed by them (hundreds). With the site set alittle in a valley it was nice not waking to early sun in camp. The nice grassy area and site location definitely makes it feel like your all on your own.
