Purplehaze Acres is a 60-acre organic rustic farm in Rubicon, WI and resides at the beginning of the approx. 650-mile Niagara Escarpment--known locally as "The Ledge". We are in close proximity to the Ice Age Trail, and the natural treasures of the great Horicon Marsh, Lake Sinnissipi/Rock River with canoeing/kayaking/fishing, Ledges County Park, and the world-renowned Holy Hill Shrine. Nearby Hustisford ("Husti") offers unique shopping and dining experiences. Need a few organic groceries? We offer a variety of camping alternatives, with 7 tent sites, 1 group site, and a cabin. There is potable water, charcoal grills, firepit grates, eggs and, available for purchase, firewood. Your approach via 1/2-mile dirt drive up the hills and through the woods . . . to not your grandmother's typical house you go. Stone Ridge Tiny House

Definitely worth a stay

I spend at least one weekend every summer here and it never, ever disappoints ! My dog absolutely LOVES coming here, bring your furry friends for sure! This time we brought some other human friends and everyone had a super lovely time. The space and property and really cool to explore, it feels safe and fairly secluded and is a perfect spot to get away for a bit. Can’t wait to come back for my 5th year next summer!

Stone Ridge Tiny House

Everything you need

The tiny house was a nice upgrade from our usual tent camping. Protected from the elements, with a water pump and composting toilet, it was everything we hoped for! Darryl was a great host, too. The road in could be tough in wet weather, we made it up in our SUV just fine. I would reconsider if heavy rain was on the forecast.

Site 4 Firefly Camp

Firefly Camp 10/10

Our site on Darryl’s land was so idyllic. Very private, stunning field views to watch fireflies and other animals, and perfect for hearing the sounds of nature under the stars. He even gifted us with fresh eggs that we ate through immediately! We will absolutely be back to stay at the other sites!

Site 1 Fallen Tower

Best camping trip

We stayed at sight 1 Fallen Tower and it was awesome. Plenty of room for our Subaru and tent/general set up. The views are incredible, the firefly’s at night are definitely worth the trip alone. It was the perfect get away for Our 6 year anniversary. And As a wonderful surprise, Darryl brought us a carton of freshly laid eggs in the morning! We would definitely go back!

Site 2 Casey's Camp

Nice camping spot and very quiet space. It’s a hike to the top of the hill with the wagons that are provided at the bottom of the hill. Lots of big roots.
