Visit our historic farmland nested in a peaceful valley in the Driftless Region of Wisconsin. Rocky bluffs surround open pasture dotted with beautiful Oak trees, with a pristine spring-fed stream winding through the property. Enjoy mowed paths through pasture and hayfields and proximity to Governor Dodge State Park for miles of hiking in woods and prairie, swimming, boat rentals, fishing and waterfall viewing. Stay in a large, 16' canvas bell tent with an organic matress on a wooden bed frame appointed with solar twinkle lights, wool rugs, leather lounge chairs and option of adding a second bed or two. Our Tent sits above the ground on a wood platform, and looks over a private area complete with a fire ring and picnic table, just steps from a spring bursting from a hillside next to the creek, which you have access to dip your toes in or look for frogs. Leave your car in sight and walk your items down a mowed path with the assistance of a hand-cart. Watch the stars at night, listen to the frogs sing, the coyotes howl and the whip-or-will sing. We are a homestead farm, with a small flock of chickens and ducks. We live on the property with our 4 kids and two dogs. We are restoring the land we live on, adding prairie and managing the fields and pasture while raising strong resilient kids. We'd love to meet you, or let you stay in solitude and peace. Nearby Spring Green and Dodgeville offer restaurants and services, and we are just 40 minutes from Madison. We only have one site on our property, secldued on a hayfield/pasture near the shade of an Oak tree near a spring fed creek. Enjoy the tent, picnic table and firepit for cooking and a private outdoor open-air composting toilet.

So beautiful!
With pets
The site has such a beautiful view. Seth and Emily have so many things already available that packing for this trip was so easy. We stayed late in fall, so they even provided a heater for the yurt. This was just the retreat from noise and people we city dwellers needed!

THIS IS THE SPOT YOU WANT
My friend and I were on a roadtrip across the country and stopped in for a night that we were hoping would be relaxing, aesthetically and physically comfortable and beautiful, and conducive to our goal of cooking a great meal and having a long night of hanging out with a fire. This place surpassed ALL of our hopes and dreams. Easy arrival. Gorgeous and private setting. Clean yurt, kitchen stocked with cooking wares, and pre-cut firewood. The part we weren't prepared to love so much was the big swing hanging from the ancient oak tree. Such a perfect setting to hang out and recharge for one or many nights! Highly recommend this spot

All You Need-Northern Lights Bonus
Wonderful glamping spot! The chickens greeted us upon arrival in the driveway, and we gently passed them as we headed on our way down the hill. The site is set aside from the main farm and house, with complete privacy. Amenities that turn this from camping into glamping were the comfy bed made up inside the tent, stove with two propane tanks, water for drinking and washing, cooking equipment, plates, bowls, silverware and washing supplies - all included. You literally just need to show up with your food and enjoy. Bonfire location and multiple seating options were lovely. Note the site faces north with a wide view, so we were able to catch some Northern Lights. Road noise all night was non-existent. Perfect for our peaceful weekend away.
