Your hosts, Errol and Nola, bring their passion for the outdoors and warm hospitality to every guest experience. Dedicated to preserving Lewana's history and charm, they love sharing their slice of paradise with visitors from near and far.
Lewana is a historic ex-forestry workers' estate located on the Blackwood River and Tourist Route 251 between Balingup and Nannup. The 100-acre property is situated amongst state and pine forests, and the parkland setting features over 50 different tree varieties, creating a beautiful place to stay at any time of year.
Lewana is the ideal base to explore the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas, including Donnybrook, Nannup, and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries, there’s plenty to enjoy during your stay. Experience nature by walking part of the Bibbulmun Track, cycling a section of the Mundi Bibbi Track, or kayaking on the Blackwood River from historic Wrights Bridge.

Unbelievable experience! The whole place is just such a breathe of fresh air. A heritage listage with the most fascinating buildings but still with comforts of home. Many tracks to amble and even a dam to wash away your “city” cares. Don’t miss the morning coffee cart for your morning fix. It’s a lovely way to connect with Errol (barista extraordinaire) and Nola. Loved everything about this hamlet. Highly recommended
Great camping spot. Feel like you’re in the middle of the forest with toilet and shower amenities. It’s quiet and nice walking trails right by the sites.
Stunning location, quiet and accommodating. The base camp was one of the most special campsites I have been to in Nannup area. Would highly recommend if you want to decompress and have some down time. We will be back again in Autumn or Winter would love to see the different colours that would come out then :)
Errol & Nola very helpful with our stayed at cottage 1. We made major mistake in booking thought booking for 2 night. Errol offering the only cottage available as all camping ground was fully booked. So we decided to stayed 2 night as we travel 3 hrs from Perth. Pumba & Billy beloved dog of Errol & Nola makes my 10 yrs old so happy . The main attraction was the Alphacas & all the farm animals. I loved the forest. Even though 2nd day power down it didn't stop our stayed . Nola supply drinking water ,water cattle & torches. Somehow power back on after 8pm.Lewana cottage definitely taking away our high stress level which we very much needed. Thank you Nola & Errol.
Errol and Nola were the perfect hosts from the get go. We had a tree fall on the road to their site, Errol met myself and other guests at the incident to help us get around and back on track.
Views were spectacular and we were met with plenty of local wildlife. The kids and I had a fantastic time exploring the area and star gazing once the sun went down.
