RU Ready To RV?
Peace and Quiet!
Bill and his son welcomed us to the site bearing some fresh fruit and nuts! The spot is peaceful, beautiful and private. Bill provided a long extension cord and some fresh water from a spigot/hose . We loved hiking all over his land and checking out the waterfalls and the views from the cliffs. I would highly recommend W. T. Farm to folks looking for great views, rolling fields and an escape from people, most cars and all the hustle of life.

RU Ready To RV?
Family RV by the pond and orchard
We had an excellent stay with Bill. Due to the previous hurricane weather system, we stayed at the “backup” site. I wouldn’t have known it was a backup!
Our two year old and our dog had a ball running around the pond. Bill also showed our son the garden and he had fun smelling all the plants (lavender, basil, sage, etc). We never thought to do something like that and he had so much fun.
We “hiked” up the paced road to the young orchard and watched the gorgeous sunset. If the kids were older, this would have been a gorgeous spot to pitch a tent and watch the sunrise too!
In the morning, we drove over to the main orchard, where Bill taught us about different trees, grafting and we took home some fruit and seeds. Our favorites were the pawpaws, persimmons and the most delicious apples!!! Definitely have some apples if they’re in season!
Bill is an excellent host. His directions on how to get there were invaluable. Plus all the incredible knowledge he shares about the orchard, foraging (eatable plants and mushrooms we saw on our orchard walk) and growing our own pawpaws!

Camping in the orchard
We loved camping at Bill’s RV spot in the orchard. We had ample shade under the sawtooth oaks near the entrance to the orchard. The almost constant breeze on the mountain provided an oasis from summer temps. We had ample space to explore and eat gooseberries and currants (super tasty)! During the day, you can hear and see lots of birds and hear distant tree frogs trilling. On a clear night, the stargazing is great! Bill was very welcoming and taught us about his trees and the process of selective breeding and grafting. There is a road nearby to the RV spot as mentioned on the Hipcamp listing, but this didn’t bother us at all. The spot felt private with lots of surrounding trees and vegetation. We explored outside the fenced orchard to the wooded trail, which offered different views and cool rock outcroppings. We’ll have to come back to explore the other half of the farm and to see the trees in other seasons!

Holler-lujah in the Run
Peaceful and Delicious
This place is wonderful and full of adventure! Bill was also very kind and helpful. I had a lovely time with my dogs playing in the water and just wandering around the camp site. Also bill was kind enough to set up a ladder by a mulberry tree, as they were in season, so I picked a lot of them for breakfast one day and they were delicious. The campsite has a beautiful view of the forest canopy and the stream. The whole experience was peaceful and magical and I will probably be going back sometime soon.

We had a great time staying here! The host was very friendly & made sure our stay was comfortable. It was great being able to explore his land & enjoy all the fruits, nuts & views! It stormed pretty hard while being there but we still had a great time & all our stuff was safe! 10/10 recommend & we will be back ourselves!

This is a great spot! Very remote but close enough for us to get out to some local parks and breweries in the area.
Bill gave us a map of the land and had some great recommendations for things to do. Would definitely return!
