Smith Ridge upper camp
The host was very friendly and accommodating and the site was spacious and private! There was enough space for multiple tents and would be great for groups!

Private~Primitive~Perfect
We loved tent camping here! Matt was an exceptional host, and was quick to annswer any questions we had! He met us on arrival to show us to our perfect site. We stayed on the lower corner site; it was cozy & lovely, private, primitive, and just what we needed to get away! It’s so close to Harper’s Ferry, and the cutest and sweetest little ice cream truck right down the road. We will definitely be back, and plan to bring friends!

Smith Ridge lower camp
Great time!
We had such an awesome time at Matt’s Hipcamp in Harper’s Ferry! The campsite was huge, with a great setup, and Matt was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect – close to a bunch of wineries and just a quick drive to downtown Harper’s Ferry. We did an 8-mile hike with stunning views – it was definitely a highlight! We’re already planning to come back in the fall to catch the colors. Highly recommend it! Plenty big enough for a group.

Great time
We had an awesome time, very cool and secluded spot. A couple of us struggled getting up the hill to the site in 2WD cars, but were able to make it ultimately. Would definitely come back

Smith Ridge is Great!
WOW ... Smith Ridge was just what we were looking for. Beautiful camp sites in a remote wooded area complete with fire pit, table & chairs, and firewood available to purchase. Matt was an awesome host ... met us immediately upon arrival, made sure we knew where things were, told us to text if we needed anything, and even upgraded us to an even nicer camp site. The place is super close to Harper's Ferry, and as an added bonus there's a Hershey's ice cream truck along the road on the way to Smith Ridge. If you need to cool down, it's a hop, skip and a jump down the road to the Potomac River with plenty of places to jump in. We will definitely camp here again when we come back to Harper's Ferry. Thanks for the great service Matt!

Smith Ridge middle spot 2-3 person
Very easy to book. Matt was responsive and graciously offered to help us with moving firewood.
Pit toilet was close to our site and clean.
Would recommend and stay again.
